Do you have Dab reception were you are at? Would be cool to see a video on the Sangean pocket 390/ DPR-39. One of the only dab+ pocket radios with normal batteries, the rechargable ones for like 4 hours runtime on the integreres batteries so they are pretty much worthless!

Looks like the same case as the Tecsun R-206 case. Tecsun: a radio for EVERYONE ‼️

This thing is a real beauty and i love the formfactor a lot with the vertical monolith + handlebar shape. Thankfully it doesn't come with such useless annoying things like a Siren that is always prone to accidentally being turned on. Always hated that on my Tecsun GR-168. A really nice basic classic looking Transistor radio with emergency handcrank all the important bands and a lamp. Just everything you need :) That Amber LED is also absolutely cool and super useful! Just a basic Dial illumination that won't blind you at night and won't drain the battery super quick. I wish this model was more easily available because i cannot see it being sold anywhere here in Europe. Neither on Amazon nor on Ebay.

You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention. That very much reminds me of those radios with a similar form factor they had back in the 70s (or maybe earlier) that were AM/FM, back in the 80s my cousin had one he found somewhere that still worked fine. They usually had leather-looking vinyl cases with a handle that covered the sides and back. I found several over the years at flea markets and garage sales, but they were really cheap-looking so I never got one. if I remember right they used 4 C cells. That one looks like one worth getting, even though I don't get why they only have 2 AA cells in the thing.

Fixy Clary k Yeah. Seems kind of lame. I’d imagine they are a battery backup to the rechargeable pack. They should have gone with 4 “AA” for longer battery life.

Hi, does this radio work ok in Europe? I want to buy a radio for a survival kit
@todderbert5 жыл бұрын
This is an analog receiver so it should work anywhere in the world that can pick up the stated frequencies on the dial. Thanks for watching :)

Another suggestion is the Tecsun GR-88 which is the same as the Eton/Grundig FR-200 kzbin.info/www/bejne/imfNh6ilnrmpfc0 you can buy one here: www.anon-co.com/product/tecsun-gr88-emergency-radio

But Degen DG 13 is better? Because it has more charging options www.anon-co.com/product/degen-de13-emergency-radio

Depends on your needs, the GR-88 is the better receiver.
