Tecsun R-304D Revisit FM MW SW Portable Radio Reception Review

I wanted to revisit an old friend, the Tecsun R-304D AM FM Shortwave portable radio.. My first video was a quick review, and never gave a true picture of how this radio sounds across all the bands.

I'm pretty happy with its overall performance and sensitivity. The headphone jack was a disappointment though. This radio will be more or less a garage radio, or an emergency radio. I imagine with the 2-D cell batteries, it will have a long run time at lower volumes.
Built like a tank, and sounds great for its size. Its a buy under $30 for sure. I like it more then the new Sony 506 I reviewed.

Which one is better, this one or the Degen DE 390 (Katio 390) ?

This one is analog and the 390 is a DSP. I like both. The Tecsun is made better, but the DSP on the 390 is a better performer. I have a feeling this Tecsun would outlast the 390.
