Today we look at the Tecsun ICR 110 AM FM MP3 Player/Recorder. This is a nice radio with big sound and good AM and FM reception.

I got the same unit in 2019. The AM band is really good. Didn't care for the MP3 player, though. The Tecsun Q3 is far better. Tonight I forgot to turn it off because the display blanks out so I had to charge the battery. The display stays on if you're using the line in for a device speaker. Great choice of color as it is probably the natural color of the plastic and won't show light scratches too easily. Great video!

I own this radio and it does very good recording radio shows. You do not have to have the volume up to record. It is also a good DXer.

SevenFortyOne it does a nice job recording the radio. It doesn't have a timer to set the record time, manual only. Once you start recording a station you can't change the Station. No recording band scans ☹️.

Nice Review! Loving the classic radio. I'm cheating and using my CCWifi to record CFZM Theater of the Mind episodes now ;) This radio does well on AM. Nice size 3 1/2" ferrite antenna in there . Great enclosure for modding. People have great luck using this with a passive loop too!

Your welcome, i may pull this radio back out when my passive loop arrives..yeah finally bought one. I saw a youtuber using one with a GE SR and a RF2200...even with those powerhouse radios, it helped bring in even more stations..simply amazing. I want to break my distance record of 890 miles. I think a loop and my CCRadio-EP should be able to.

I have same model. It records AM band to micro SD card fine, but when recording FM band, static type noise is produced live and on the recorded file.

the most important thing about the radio is that it plays clearly without listening and the radio sounds like that!

Tecsun seems to be a nicer Chinese radio manufacturer. I really enjoyed my PL880. I like Zooma radio when we get it here on DX.

Radio Rescue I think Tecsun does a nice job on its radios. The ICR-110 gets some of its good looks from the pl880. I wish the display could stay on and not turn off on its own. I really like zoomer radio too, lots of good music and radio shows week nights at 10PM est. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for your video. I've ordered this radio. I have decades of experience as a mobile DJ, and I have produced over 600 album tracks on my 32 gig card. I have eliminated all square waves & increased the dynamic range with my S.W.E.A.D.R.E. process. Can you tell my if I can use the numeric keypad to enter the track number I want to hear?

Hi , How’s is going Man, I’ve been looking for a radio recorder. I received my Tivdio V115 yesterday. The only band that worked was The Fm, The am And Shortwave bands had a loud buzzing and ticking sound. Major Bummer! Must of gotten a lemon, That Tecsun icr 110 looks of significantly much better build quality and performance, No doubt about that, Might have to purchase one of this radios, Be cool to record pandora and iHeartRadio from the net. Take it easy. 🤘

Is icr110 as well as pl310et on FM? I will give icr110 my dad instead of pl310et. He is a fm listener. I really wonder your comment. What would you say? Thanks

I bought this in the UK, advertised as stereo, but it is not stereo. The loudspeaker quality is excellent, that is the only thing it does which is really good. I therefore use it as output from my laptop. The display is supposed to last 10 seconds, well its about 2 seconds if that. It does not come with headphones, Advertised as MP3 but it does not come with a card I am unable to delete some stuff on my own SD card. Who in this world ever uses a hand help strap?

Jo Allan the MP3 on this radio is very basic, you need to do deleting of files on your computer. The radio may be stereo on the headphones? I don't remember. Thanks for stopping by.

Yes its a nice radio and I like mine. Another good radio that records is the Retekess V115. You can find it on Amazon and EBay for around $25. Good luck to you and happy radio listening. 👍❤️📻

@@TheRadiogeek do u recommend to buy retekess v115 than tecsun 110? Its a lot cheaper if it will serve the same purpose... but is retekess good in am Frequencies? I have retekess tr604 but comparwd to panasonic 2400d.. panasonic is clearer in am.. is retekess v115 will give me clearer am and will npt be static? Appreciate ypur reply sir.. thanks very much

@@luckycindy1278 they both do well on AM but I think the Tecsun does a little better due to its bigger internal antenna. The Tecsun is a very nice radio.
