Tecware PBT Pudding Keycap Review - Better Than HyperX???

Here's for comparison: Pros and cons of Tecware keycaps (based on every review I saw, and I'm not going to mark something a pro and con, it's subjective): - Higher pitch - Brighter keys - Keys such as D and O are not fully looped around - Keys like Shift and Caps Lock are not spelt out - No branding to be found anywhere - Cheaper - Less curvy - Whole keycap is rough Pros or cons of HyperX keycaps: - Deeper sound - Keycaps are larger - Keys such as shift and caps lock are spelt out - Spacebar has HyperX branding on it - Characters like O and D fully loop around (if you order 2020 ver) - Only the top part is rough - Not as bright as the Tecware keycaps - Probably more expensive than most of its competitors Pick what suits your preferences or you may regret what you chose in the future.

It was tough for me to choose between the two of them, but i ended up getting the hyperx over the tecware. Because the 'capslock', 'shift' and other keys are written on the hyperx. On the tecware they used symbols. As u said its all down to personal preference. Cool vid man!

I mean, if you're planning to pair it up with a HyperX keyboard then it would probably look dope but I'd say if otherwise, it'd probably look ugly with mix n match stuff but if you're into that then I won't judge lol

@Michael Hunt you don't "need" pudding keycaps, or rgb on your keyboard in the first place. It this point, it's preference, and would would prefer them written out as well since it simply meshes better with the rest of the keys imo when the function keys are written in font

If you have the two keycap sets, then yeah you can pick up some difference here and there. But, it’s like buying a TV folks. Once you bring it home, it’s all the same.

I just don't like the font on the Tecware ones, HyperX is like the only pudding caps I can find that have continuous lettering. What I mean is obvious if you look at the O, there's a line through it at the top whereas on the HyperX ones it's completely connected. The continuous letters make it look significantly cleaner to me.

Yes it does, high profile keycaps like SA will make your fingers tired very fast due to it massive height. While low profile keycaps like Cherry profile are recommend for typing and gaming as they are low enough for you to use for a long period of time without a wrist rest like SA.

Yeah, they are because that's what Tecware primarily uses for their own switches. I just broke my TecWare Phantom L and bought a Cooler Master to try out on sale.

Tecware is making an amazing work (I have the phantom 87, the white shroud, and the white puddin keycaps) but one of my outemu brown switch get stuck half way down, and I broke one of the lock of the switch and I can't get it out.

The sound for the keys is really mostly affected by the switches! You didn't even show a no keycap comparison! Plus there was no lights shown without the keycaps, so there's not really a comparison to be made for either!

SOOO, I said this giant diatribe of words on your G.Skill video, immediately WAY better, you started the video off showing not only the Tecware keycap BUT ALSO the HyperX keycap, along with showing the legends, showing the "pudding", yeh, from a review standpoint, WAY better a video. Of course the editing doesn't look as good as the G.Skill video, you basically showed yourself speaking to a keyboard for a good chunk of the beginning of the video. lol, yeh, you definitely improved, imo
