@@cormacoconnor7726 Sassy's lack of interest was, as she said several times, because Ted was a mess. After he got his shit together without a doubt Sassy would have taken him up on his offer. The chemistry was there. The sex was good enough for her to want a second round. She made it clear she wanted more return visits by not out right ending things when Ted suggested a date. Love, unlike what movies and television have spoon fed you, is not an instant moment. It is an evolution of a relationship over time. While Ted was not in love with Sassy, nor her with him, it is not unreasonable to assume it could turn into love over time. Nor will I agree Ted only asked her out due to being lonely. He felt a spark between them so he asked. Sassy was correct of course as Ted was in a bad place romantically so any relationship born in that moment was doomed to fail.

@@paulhopkins1905 No, a mature individual wouldn't enter into this relationship. Further, Sassy is anything but a mature and healthy individual. I'm not the one in need of growing up. I've got kids in college and a healthy 28 year marriage. While I empathize with the characters and what they are feeling, the discerning part of my brain also recognizes that this is an unhealthy response to those feelings that in the end leaves neither party healthier or happier. Making good decisions doesn't come necessarily from a place of shelter, but from learning what not to do. And even in the parts of my life where I haven't made mistakes, just because I haven't made mistakes doesn't mean that doing the right thing isn't wisdom. I have known "Sassy". I rejoiced when she matured past this stage in her life. I'm sorry I triggered you. I feel like she is making light jabs at how rich these people are. Money is such a non problem for them but not to her so she acts sassy about it instead of making them uncomfortable by asking them for money because she obviously cannot afford to be around them without them picking up the bill. They dont mind because they enjoy her company and dont want her to stop being a part of their lives because they have moved up financially I believe rebecca does jokes like this too to jab at that rich girl when she orders the most expensive champagne for herself and for the waiter because a billionaire was paying for the tab. Money for these people is a joke so sassy jokes about it. Sudeikis makes these jokes quite alot in this series now that I think about it. It's a running joke how rich and out of touch Rebecca is, like when she buys a first class ticket to talk to Ted at the airport without ever intending to go on the plane
@johnkelly13868 ай бұрын
I think the thing is, that is why she does not see herself with Ted. Ted is very eager to please, while she is simply hard to please. He'll do anything, and she wants everything. She knows which is why she immediately rejected him. She knows she'll hurt him, since he is vulnerable, and she could easily do what Jake did to Ted ex-wife. So for me Sassy stood on business when it matters most unlike his ex wife.
