I am a Northerner who recently moved to Texas. The biggest regret I have is not respecting Senator Cruz more often from afar because I foolishly believed all the snarky sound bites on him. Recently, listening to the way he spoke up for the children at the border has been some of the greatest political speeches I have ever heard. Closing the border is not the answer. Mexico and the US have one of the largest trade. We need to pass the immigration legislation bill and place emphasis on legal entrance that would deter illegal entry. The numbers are already down that's why Gov Abbott is no longer busing immigrants. President Biden had to sign some executive order on immigration.
