Hogan vs Hart at WM X was the only match we should have had. The passing of the torch from the 80's icon to the fastest rising wrestler of the 90's. Sadly that's not we got. Hart vs Hogan would have been we much a draw as Hogan vs Warrior had they spent a year building the match from WM IX onward. I honestly feel that Hogan's biggest fear was being booed against Hart. He never drew boos against Warrior because only kids were into Warrior whereas Hart was appealing to adults & most importantly fans of more technical wrestlers like Hart. The business was changing & Hogan knew it.

If Hogan would've put over Bret clean, it might not have drawn the most money in the world, but it would've made Bret a more credible top guy.

Bret managed to get good matches out of Diesel and Undertaker so he definitely could have made something with Hulk.

Bret was the transition to modern wrestling which was actually old school wrestling. No one wrestles like Hogan any more. They wrestle like Bret and Shawn.

A Bret/Hogan match especially at that time wouldn't have been good for Bret no matter what way it went.

Hogan had worked with Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig who was not a large wrestler and whose technical style was similar to Bret Hart's.

Hulk Hogan had worked with lots of smaller wrestlers who were around Hart's size before. Savage, Perfect and Piper immediately come to mind. They weren't all larger than him "monsters" like Studd, Bundy, Andre, Bossman, Akeem, Earthquake, Sid or Undertaker.

Bret refused to drop the belt to Hogan. Bret not facing Hogan, was the same as Flair not facing Hogan at Wrestlemania 8. It's one of those what could have been, kind of things.

It's crazy how big guys like Dibiase and Rotundo were but you never thought about it because of how big everyone was in general. Dibiase being 6'4'' 260 would make him look like Hogan now compared to today's much smaller wrestlers.

I don’t buy the size difference claim on Hulk’s account. He wrestled Roddy Piper tons of times and Roddy was small like Bret. So was Macho Man. It had nothing to do with the fact that Bret wasn’t a giant.

Love mania 9 remember begging my mom to get the ppv cause hulkamania was returning. I even like the finish. At the end of the day Hart won the main event the next year and had a better run.
