Truly Ted's best partner, ever. The perfect compliment of brute force to go with the technician Ted. The second part of that question that he didn't answer in this clip- best opponents in Mid-South were Hacksaw Duggan (when Ted was a heel) and Paul Orndorff (when Ted was a face). Have to post a clip of Ted discussing the match with Ric Flair that turned Ted back to face.

Seems to me that all the nicest, coolest dudes were the heels in wrestling, while most of the faces turned out to be assholes.

Not for nothing, but he nearly caused a crash and then wilfully damaged somebody's car. Outside of the wrestling bubble, that's asshole meathead behaviour. Most people when they get cut off, they usually settle for beeping the horn and making a rude hand gesture.

I remember in early 2004, in IWA Japan, Ted DiBiase was the general manager of the show and was a heel, and he was sending the Big Bossman to give babyface Dr. Death (seen as an AJPW invader hogging the spotlight from the IWA Japan guys) such a hard beating that he'd be ratted out of the company. Too bad the angle was cut short because of Doc's health and throat cancer, and when he announced it on live TV, it's the only time I legit cried in tears in wrestling.

Doc was wearing huge gloves. If it were MMA rules, It would be a different outcome. Dan Severn dropped out because he didn’t like the gloves. Doc beat Dan in college as well.

Ted Dibiase impressed me far more than Steve Williams, he used technique to lift guys, not his back and it looked absolutely effortless. Example, Ted hoisted Bossman like a kitten, while Williams would have heaved him with back strength grunting and buckling all the way.
