You can watch hundreds of excellent programmes on Australia then come across Ted Egan. His beautiful simplicity is a joy to stumble on.

Very enjoyable docu. When was it made? He does have an engaging manner and I quite enjoyed the song. Have a daughter and grandchildren in Oz (Melbourne) and have had several enjoyable visits including NSW and Queensland. Kind regards from "locked-down" England, February, 2021. Hope to be able to come again very soon, but covid is the problem.

Because it isn't complete, it's just a sound byte from the original, which can be found on some of Ted Egan's records, and yes, he has recorded quite a few all Australian content, and not just the schmaltzy type, but in my mind, quite pertinent to the true Australia. Songs that make me very proud to be an Australian.

Australia was connected to Indonesia and New Guinea during last ice age, it separated from Antarctic about 35 million years ago whether the Aboriginals are the original humanoid is indeed not proved. Aboriginals are from various back grounds some from the north some from India, Tasmanian Aboriginals are of a different earlier origin with similar types IE fossil remains found on South America. Which also has similar fauna.

There is so much evidence to prove that they were in Australia all along

That mighty force is called God. The One who created man from a drop of water. Just look at ourselves we are the biggest miracle ever. Our creation is the biggest sign of the most merciful, compassionate and almighty God.

@@anonymous3174 wow next you will be telling me people can rise from the dead. Sorry but your ‘truth’ will 100% rely on faith and will be anecdotal when it comes to repeatable facts that support your evidence.

The song everyone is moaning about..at least (as bad as it is), it shows hes passionate about his country. I actually thought it was the Aussie national anthem LOL. I think that must have been his aim :D Anyway, the song is an aside, its the content that matters, and its great stuff!

Back then everybody would sing songs it was a standard form of entertainment to get somebody on a guitar singing a few words it's just now everything has to be so professional because of American influence . It was a time when anybody can have a go and I wish it was still like that now

@@James-kv6kb I wasn't meant to write anything except press thumbs up the comment, my app freezes on comments and I pressed buttons and it typed lol. But anyway, I don't even think it's possible to know the extent of how long we've been around, due to climate shifts. It's likely far longer than 80,000.
