Every other show would have Keyleigh and Rebecca become adversaries or something for the easy storylines. How refreshing is it to see them lift each other up, instead. This is the episode that COMPLETELY hooked me.

And when Rebecca’s friend meets Keeley too. No jealousy

What's amazing about this show is that it's the British getting their heart warmed, coz those fuckers are known for being strategically cruel and reveling in it (Let's not forget the Kat, Alfie & Crime boss Andy Storyline). During the pandemic and the endless barrage of Trump down our throats, this was a breath of fresh air.

I love watching people fall in love with this show and you both have the perfect reactions. As for Maple saying the show is going to make her cry ... yeah, it's gonna. Mostly laugh, but the tears won't be uncommon as the show continues. It's just so good and this is where so many relationships between the characters really take off. So, so great.
@lafatte242 ай бұрын
They seriously got the balance sooooo right. The show actually reminds me of Schitt's Creek (this one has more laughs though), where it's just wholesome and nice and surprisingly optimistic without coming off fake and it feels like sitting in a cool creek on a warm day.

Same. I also immediately added some of his music to my phone. He's super talented. I also love the fact that the creators of this show essentially found him the same way Ted did. (Which, obviously, is why they wrote it that way in the show.)

When this show first aired in 2020, it was JUST the tonic needed among the pandemic awfulness. Like, it was a bright spot that made things feel a little less hopeless for a bit.

It makes me incredibly happy to know that the woman who plays Rebecca and the woman who plays Keeley actually became best friends in real life while filming this show.

This show made me feel how Steven Universe did when I saw it the first time: self-aware writing with a focus on healthy relationships and conscious effort to be a better, more genuine and kind person. They’re both such unique and special shows, and both help people process and work through trauma because the writing is so in-universe but applicable to some of our own lives.

I'm super late getting into this show, the first three seasons were done by the time I got into it this year and I am so happy that I started watching it. I still don't get tired of it. Seeing that Rupert is a bit older than Rebecca made me feel for her a bit more. I'm glad to see Keeley and Rebecca have that talk and seeing Keeley and Roy talk like adult humans.

Also, Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca) and Juno Temple (Keeley) are very close in real life. They're best friends, and Hannah's daughter even calls Juno her "fairy godmother."

S4 is coming closer to reality as Warner Bros has picked up the options on a bunch of the main cast. Hard to imagine the studio paying the actors just for shoots and giggles. Sudeikis is in charge of the show so if it is renewed he'll obviously be back, even though he hasn't gotten a new contract yet.
