...so many forget how AWESOME a guitarist Ted is....remember, his first 4 solo albums were pre-Van Halen.....My vote would go to him as the #1 hard rock American guitarist at that time......His tone, licks, and unbelievable sense of melody are second to none. I wore out the first solo album, Free For All, Cat Scratch Fever, and Double Live Gonzo "trying" to learn those licks starting with his first album when it came out in '75....I was a mere 14 years old...great days and Thanks Ted for the inspiration and seeing you live for the first time in '78 (my first concert) was an event I'll never forget!!!!! An OBTW your political views are SPOT ON.....So David Crosby, take that and stick it in your pipe and smoke it....like you've been doing since the '60's....

What I dig about this performance... and I grew up in Redford, MI and began listening to Ted when he was doing the Amboy Dukes thing... is that while he clearly relishes the spotlight, he was generous in letting other musicians have their leads. He made them better... and in turn, they made him better. That's the way playing live music is supposed to be. The big #1 is to entertain the audience and that's always been Ted's focus.

It is Absurd, that Ted has not been Inducted into the "Rock n Roll Hall of Fame", !!!!!! In the fall of 1969 in Winter Park FL @ the (then) Winter Park Youth Center on a Friday night, I watched n listed to Ted Nugent & Edgar Winter jam with a local band "Tin House", it was awesome, to say the least. Take that "Journey to the Center of your mind".!!!!!!!!! Yeah.

Well....music has advanced over time and now has a great exspanse of ideas and chord methods and variation of rythms. The average carnal listener is trained listening and excepting most basic common music Rythm and going with it. Then on the other side...listeners that step outside that basic box and prefer more complex and difficult art form appreciated musical genious. Masters of arraingement and pull out numerous skills per song or creativity. Way outside just being contained with simple 3 chord progressions.

I saw him do this and he bought Steve Marriott from humble pie out to do it with him for Ted's encore and Ted almost got his ass handed to him. Ted still kicked ass but Steve could jam pretty good. Ted was having a bad night because unfortunately a couple of girls that went to the show with me got into Teds truck and went through his belongings. The show was in Kalamazoo,MI and Ted was living about 60 miles away in Jackson, supposedly the truck wasn't locked. The girls got arrested but Ted didn't show up for the hearing. So That night Humble Pie really blew Ted off the stage. It was actually the worst Ted show I've seen and I've probably seen about 50?? But the encore rocked when he did Oh Carol with Steve. A few months later I met Humble Pie on an airplane and when I mentioned I saw him jamming with nugent he said with that cockney accent (or whatever it's called) "Ah the night I blew Ted off the stage" and the whole group started laughing. Sounds like I'm "dissing" Ted but I'm not, just telling a story of just one bad night he had. To give you an idea of how big of a fan I was in the 70's and 80's my mom sent me to a psychiatrist back about '79 because "all I thought about was Ted Nugent and rollerskating". She left out and thinking of violating as many girls at the roller rink that I could, just like Ted would have done!!

Wonderfull performance, great playing, what a shame this man supported Trump. I love all kinds of music...you can't hear everything or own every record. I knew Ted Nugent's image and name...didn't get to listen to his music...again, there is so much ...so only now I hear his work and I love this m...but why in the name of whatever....did this man fall for Trump...Ted Nugent I love your music and maybe I will hear you about the reasons why ...you know...but even you must see the crumbling roads, the pocket filling of the elite (including Trump) so why......? And furthermore your assumption about people not trying to become the 'best' is proven to be a fascist goal in life. The first elites in the 19th century up untill 1940 believed in "social darwinism' wich was the wrong philosophy that all the good things in life should be in the hands of the top of society. As if the 'game' commenced beginning with an equal startingpoint. Those people forgot that most other people had to get into this 'game' from an allready backward position (not caused by their own doing). There's a simple word for that its called 'cheating' . And afterwards you accuse the 'loosers' for being a 'looser' and lazy. This has nothing to do with healthy competitiveness.
