@@Osprey3109 As a Texan I’d like to educate you on something. Most of our major cities, such as Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, etc. are Democrat run cities, with very high murder rates. Texas is a HUGE state, used to be the largest state in the country, that is until Alaska became a state. There are so many smaller cities and towns where the murder rate is significantly lower. It’s the larger metropolitan areas that have a high murder rate. Unfortunately, the metropolitan areas hike up the state murder rates, but if you break it down by city, you’ll see that outside of those areas the gun ownership is higher and the murder rates are pretty low. This in fact supports what Ted Nugent said in this video. So true! We have some really good federal gun laws that would slow down gun crimes if used. But our prosecutors and judges will not use them. A set jail term for use of a gun in while committing a crime. A set jail term for a felon to carry or use a gun, and a set time for use of an altered or modified gun in a crime. Why are these federal laws not used? The perpetrator would be put away for a long time, and would think twice about being jailed for that long again to repeat. I think I know why, because it punishes the criminal instead of a normal citizen.
