Saw Ted twice back in the day...awesome both times. Saw him on TV too, with Dolly Parton on the Mike Douglas Show! Saw Sammy Hagar with ZZ Top a million years ago. During a song some panties flew up on stage...he shuts the band down, stops the concert dead, asks who threw these? Says do you want to come up on stage and take the rest off? Decades before crowd-surfing was a thing the crowd starts feeding some girl to the stage. Sammy sits back on the drum riser, the drummer and bass player start playing stripper music and this girl starts dancing and stripping...crowd when fucking INSANE, thought the roof was coming down. When she got to where it might have been illegal they snatched her off the stage and they finished the set. Amazing. I'd love to tell you the year but it's all a bit hazy these days.

The last time I saw Ronnie was at X-Fest in Modesto, CA, only a short time before he left us. I was blessed to speak with him briefly, would really have loved to see he and Sammy back together for at least one show... Hey Sammy, do you remember the delivery guy who brought your new TV in the summer of 2011? When my 2nd wife left me, he and his wife, Julie, refused to allow me to be alone and moved me into their spare room! He was so, overtaken, by your genuine nature and generosity (he didn't believe me!).
