Hard to believe that Uncle Ted saved my wife and her friend, from going backstage with Iron Butterfly, back in the day. My wife and her friend were being asked to go backstage by Iron Butterfly when Ted said I'll give you my autograph. They went over to him and signed my wife's tennis shoe "walk in peace". At the same time, he told them not to go back stage. They being underage, it was a great thing he did. I love Uncle Ted!

I love the Motor City Madman! We used to cover Stranglehold when I was thirteen years old as a young bass player. I’ll never forget those days partying and rocking out with a basement full of teenagers. And the girls loved that groove as the bass and drums smoothly churn under the rip of the guitar! Man, what a time to be alive.

That was the same age 12/ 13 was when I was playing mostly Nugent tunes. The Journey of the center of the Mind, migration, hibernation , the Great White Buffalo when it was released in 1973 Nugent was the neighborhood Guitar Hero ! We went to same High School in DETROIT. Lived about 1-2 miles down Grandriver Ave...The First time I met him personally,, Ted was 24 and I was like a fifteen-year-old punk! Ran into him in a music store in Plymouth Michigan he was buying a brand-new Byrdland guitar. Ted Nugent from Redford Michigan, it borders Detroit down Grand River Avenue. @@rebelpunx88 Not trying to hate on Wings (I think they're very underrated as a band) but they were hardly groundbreaking. Basically indecipherable from Paul's solo stuff. Originality isn't even really important it's just a weird insult especially in context. Sir Paul is not exactly musically progressive or experimental... he just writes these catchy, often lovely, little ditties and melodies. It's a great talent, he's prob the best ever at it in modern times, but he didn't invent a genre or style or really anything musically that I can think of and I'm not sure he elevated the form at all post Beatles.
