@marcjohnson2835 4 жыл бұрын
@Ron H. you haven't read the Bible much obviously. Or if you have you missed alot. The Bible told us the earth was round long before a telescope was even thought of. The Bible says that God "hung the earth on nothing" telling us it stands free in space supported by nothing in particular. The mosaic law he gave the Israelites instructed them to cover their waste and keep it out of their camp. Long before man knew about bacteria or diseases transmitted by human waste. He told them which animals were unclean or not fit for eating. One if which was the bat. Corina virus came from eating bats. The list goes on and on. To long for this thread. Read the Bible again

@Ron H. give it a try. It's a book. Books are worth reading. Even superstition. Pretend it's a story book if you want. At the very least it is entertaining. It has stories about love. Life and death. War. Heroes and great battles. Sex . Lies. Deceit. Court cases and executions. Military strategy. You name it. It's in the Bible. Probably better than anything you'll find on Netflix.

I don't respect the guy for having guts, I think what he says takes zero guts because it's what Most people in this country agree with, the media just likes to pretend that he's some anti-establishment rebel when in reality he represents what America has always been about. That being said, I'd jam with him for no other reason than because it'd be fun.

People seem to make such a fuss over Ted and his politics. They seem to miss his great asset which allows him to accomplish all of hubris. That would be his personality. Although, his personality is why people listen to him, even when he is driving 'them' crazy. I have always thought Ted is such a wonderful entertainer and guitarist.

Dale C And honestly, if it weren't for his wacky personality, he probably wouldn't be where he is today. Is he a fantastic guitar player? Of course. I served in Iraq and I was almost ashamed by the grand coming home reception that our soldiers received from America as a whole when we fought a very similar kind of war where our enemy wore no distinctive uniform!!! We were told to fight with our hands tied!!! We were instructed not to fire unless we had positive identification of the person or combatants who were firing on us!!! Gorilla warfare at its best!!! A lot of players got sucked in to the Floyd Rose hysteria of the '80's into the early nineties by switching to Kramers and Jacksons, or in Ted's case the PRS. As far as I'm concerned it may well have been POS, because that period is a particularly bleak one in the history of rock guitar playing.

Sad about Frank Zappa or anyone with cancer but I think you lucked out with Ted Nugent aka; The Nuge, Uncle Ted, The Motor City Madman, The Wackmaster, The Detroit Madman, Terrible Ted, did I miss any? These days Ted is a little more outspoken, opinionated, and attracts attention with his political views and being a strong activist for gun ownership! I believe Uncle Ted is a board member of the NRA I might add, but what do I know about that stuff, I’m Canadian after All ! Ted seems to have a strong work ethic, abstains from drugs and alcohol and always entertaining as seen in your well done educational PBS program 👍

I saw Ted on his first tour of the UK at the Birmingham Odeon... my ears didn't come out of hiding for around a week. 'Sounds' or 'NME' ran a story the week after that said that the feedback frequency from 'Hibernation' shattered the glass in the picture-frames on the walls in the theatre. At times I seriously wonder about his political views, but at others I take my hat off to him... in the same article he was asked what would happen if his tour bus got stranded during a British snowstorm during his head northwards towards Sheffield; his answer was that he'd jump out, kill a sheep, tear it apart and sleep in its woolly coat. I believe him now as I believed him then.

***** naw, man - even though ACDC, Skynyrd, Led Zepp an hoardes of others are all influenced by basic blues riffs and share a similar lineage and sound, anyone can like whoever they want! I like Skynyrd but not Molly Hatchett. I like Pink Floyd, but not David Gilmoure's solo records. To each his own. It has nothing to do with ignorance. Although we tend to like what we know, so if I grew up with Clapton and Hendrix but didn't really listen to Doobie Brothers, then it might take me a while to get into the Doobies (as I have). Nostalgia plays a big role in musical taste, in my opinion. In any event, Dr. Nugent plays like an animal and gives an unbelievable live performance - even in his old age. Peace.

No dudamous (dude in greek).....it's your brain on electric guitar physics. Nugent doesn't even mess with the drugs or booze. For sure. His own words. Check out the Wikipedia page. Raw stuff. Have a good night and day.

Paul Rivera was a consultant on the script - and he sent that amp from CA to use for the shoot in MN - we could've put just any amp behind him but Paul insisted on having one of his amps back there - it turned out the one he sent was actually Ted's amp. Paul was doing some modifications on it and it was ready to ship back to him.

Don`t like his politics, but love his music. I`m not one to get all butt hurt over someone's politics and stop listening to someone's music just because of that. I like Nugent and Springsteen even though they are complete opposites politically.
