@@memeraj10 for Robin Ted is the guy whom: 1. She first considered marrying and consistently talked about marrying 2. The only man with whom she considered having kids, the man whose kids she became a mother figure for after Tracy's death 3. The first man she said "I love you" to 4. After every serious breakup she came back to him, each time more intense than the other. 5. She tried to run off with him on her wedding day and it was Ted who talked her out her out of it. Little realizing her feelings for him only became a lot stronger, deeper and solid

@@alokotta5466 you just have a different view on this and it's good to have it. Sometimes people really connect more with something similar they themselves have gone through in their life. We should respect that too. I have a lot of points to share about ted too but it doesn't makes any sense because at the end they're together. So cheers. ✌

@@memeraj10 I would love to hear your points on Ted, as I'm genuinely interested. However I feel that telling the story if Robin were the central character makes the story better. This is because the vast majority of Robin and Barney episodes highlight their deep incompatibility that people never pay attention too,as they'reso immersed in their overtly sexual chemistry. Therefore making the question of their divorce a "when" and not "why" People love to use the no pressure episode and Robin's macho style as the reason she and Ted dont work. However, Robin talks about marrying Ted way more than Ted even talks about resuming/starting their relationship, even when she isnt ready for it. She had major objections to (Stella, Victoria and Tracy) while Ted only had emotional issues with Barney. Coming to his wedding and almost wedding were big emotional exertions on her part. Their marriage pact and friends with benefits status was her creation, which was ended by Ted. She tried sleeping with him and kissing him following her breakup with Don, which Ted pulled away from. Her touchy and reflective moments barring a few are about Ted. After Tracy's death the kind of time Robin spends with Ted's kids is quite a turn around for somebody who hates kids, keeping in mind she was jealous that Tracy got to bear them and not her. I would go so far as to say that in the scheme of reacher and settler, she was the reacher and Ted going to her place with the Blue French Horn is him giving her the green light about him being ready to get back together with her and his (I like to presume their) children also wanting the situation too.

Heres something people probably never thought about, Robin had the talk of having children with three men: Barney: pregnancy scare and didnt want to have a baby. Decided against adoption with him Kevin: dumped her after she told him of her unwillingness and inability to have children Ted: told him "Babies were never part of my plan, but if I were to have somebody's babies, I'd have your babies", when they broke up. When he almost married Stella she told him " I thought if I ever changed my mind about marriage or kids it was nice to know you were there" When Kevin dumped her, and Ted told him he was willing to give up his dream of having kids something for her, she knew it would always be a black spot in his life and therefore pushed him away. She took a break from the group because she could bear to see Ted happy with a pregnant Tracy (who by that point I guess was somebody she saw as a rival), making her feel inadequate causing her to take a break from the group. When she ran into Ted and Penny she took an immediate liking to Penny and grew to really love the two of them despite the fact she never bore them or she hadn't adopted them with Ted. Weirdly Robin marrying Barney was the best thing to happen in hindsight as it pushed her further closer to Ted, and in reality she wanted to have kids under 2 conditions: 1. The father was Ted 2. She was able to be fully settled. Unlike the way she was always traveling when married to Barney, and I'm guessing that Ted being with Tracy was a contributing factor to it, as she knew the closeness they had before them getting together just wasn't possible and also add to the fact that Robin and Barney were miserable together most of the time If there is something that can be said is that the "Mother" in the title refers to both Tracy and Robin.

I agree with you, but the fact that poor Tracy dies was extremely uncalled for and cruel. Ted didn't deserve to suffer like this! In my opinion, the coup de theatre should have been that Robin is the mother.

Ted and Robin are just perfect together, the ending couldn't have been any more perfect ❤️ Since the very beginning we've known they had to end up together, everything was just about timing for them . Maybe Tracy was perfect for him but Robin was the love of his life and turns out Ted didn't want perfect he wanted Robin. And Robin has always been in love with Ted but she didn't chose him bc she knew she couldn't give him the family with kids he wanted so bad, she chose his happiness over hers and that's true love. Again: PERFECT ENDING!! ❤️

I just finished HIMYM and I know a lot of ppl didn’t like the season finale and yes it was rushed how Barney and robin ended so quickly. But robin and Ted are soulmates and as much as he had kids with Tracey and they got married, Robin was his first love and I can relate to Ted so much, I’m still tryna let go of my first love cuz u never forgot ur first love. And like Ted speech “ if I could give up then wouldn’t be love “ well he didn’t he still got her after everything that happened
