I love how this is the perfect metaphor for Ted. A situation he created, although influenced by outside forces was still mainly in his own control, goes bad and he’s forced to face the repercussions, then when he tries to run from those problems he hurts himself so much more than if he’d just sat down and faced up the consequences.

I was actually scared when I first saw this cus I thought the guy died. But the best part was when skyler came to visit him in the hospital. She thought he was gonna report her or something, so she was ready to apologize. But then he was like “I’m sorry. I’ll never let this happen again.”. Then she took a long pause and told him “…Good…”. Or something like that.

You'd be absolutely surprised. He actually reacts like how a lot of middle class and up in a middle class and up neighborhood that's relatively safe would react. You know, the kinda neighborhood where you can probably leave your bike just laying about for a few hours or longer without issue. At that point, you're so confident that you're safe that you don't really think too much about it. You think everyone's civilized and the crazy stuff you watch on the news could never happen to you.

You're right, now that I think about it. Huell saw that Ted was trying to escape, but he couldn't go as fast as he wanted to physically. So, to make sure Ted didn't get off scot free, he used the force to lift the carpet that Ted tends to trip on by just an inch, and all that was needed was for Ted to not watch his step. It all went according to plan. And they passed it off as an act of God. Bravo Vince!

The oranges falling out of the bowl is actually a metaphor for how, according to Newton's 3rd law, when one object exerts a force on another object, that object exerts an equal and opposite force back, and the oranges then falling on Ted's head are a metaphor for when an object has gravitational potential energy and no normal contact force, causing it to accelerate towards the nearest, densest object.
