One of the greatest TED talks I've seen in a while. Wonderful quotes: - I’m gonna do what I’ve always done. I’m gonna move forward because going backwards isn’t an option and standing still isn’t enough. - The three questions for everything you do.
1) What do I want?
 2) Why do I want it?
 3) How do I get it?

The things that hold us back: 1. Finances 2. Fear 3. Fatigue
@susanwash1861
@susanwash1861 5 жыл бұрын
Take care of fatigue by committing to obtaining a healthier you. Meanwhile, stay on task toward financial stability - hard when you are unhealthy, but can be done. Financial stability comes with persistence and having a plan you are not afraid to adapt/change around issues and problems you incur -- which also requires letting go of your fears and prejudices about people, educating yourself, and implementing better ideas. Then finally, one day, you will discover you are motivated rather than tired; you are financially beyond your initial dreams rather than bottom-of-the- barrel-poor and you are fearless rather than fearful of taking on newer challenges-- AND yes, the NAPS do recharge.

How is it that the relative of MLK was purged from the voting rules? If she is genuine about wanting all of us to belong, what is she doing to assure that all votes in Georgia are counted accurately and without being diluted by fake ballots. We have known that mail in ballots are vulnerable for many years. We have long known of the distortion by priority owned private proframs... We all know that numbered ballots according to each voting location and number of registered voters with tear off receipts with coordinating places representing the votes counted. We must have voting registration numbers that represent our Individual place as voters that can be checked and assured at any post office much as we do for various .gov inquiries.

Georgia purges people from the registered voter rolls if they haven’t voted in 4 years. In a very Republican state, this tends to purge more Democrats, because many often don’t see the point in voting. The dedicated work of Ms Abrams helped overcome that pessimism. And now that people see what’s possible, they may vote frequently enough to never get purged.
@mell.7817

Actually, Georgia was staunchly Republican for years because many underprivileged people in this state did not vote and often showed little interest. She totally changed that. YES. I played a game for a while and then my phone touchscreen broke, and I lost a lot. Thinking back on it I also learned a lot during a time and can make it better the second time. For another game, I just deleted it because I thought I made a mistake in the beginning, but then I thought deleting it was a mistake. Then it occurred to me I hardly enjoyed playing it, and I knew after a while I would get tired of it, so I though, why waste my time on something I will potentially find unenjoyable and boring. There is no creative or pvp aspect to the game. which are 2 things I enjoy the most and usually why I keep games. The game I realized I wasted my time on was *Shadow Fight 2*. Don't download it you get addicted for no reason, and it gets too grindy very fast. It probably shouldn't take more than 3 months to beat, which is a very long time, but you could spend that 1-3 months doing something you like, something creative, or a pvp game. BTW shadow fight 3 is not as bad. The fighting makes more sense and there is PVP, AND you can not make a mistake early game that might cost you a ton of time later on. Overall Shadow Fight 3 is probably not something you want to spend a lot of time on, but it isn't bad to just hop on and duel real players sometimes, or play weekly events.

Speaking about a painful memory with humor and insight is indicative of the mature human heart that is not 'hardened'. Guard against anybody who tries to 'harden your heart' against others by asking (and obtaining answers to the following contextual questions: 'who, what, when, where, why, who told you that, are you willing to put that in writing and how' . This protects everyone against being deliberately led astray by deceit and lies designed to harden human hearts.

I didnt support the party you are affiliated with ;BUT I don't look at people based on their party, color, gender or financial status in society. I saw on that stage a strong, proud, intelligent, well spoken and most of all determined human being. If I turned away from this video based on any prejudices what so ever then I would never have been motivated or enlightened as much as I was listening to you. I am not from the opposite side. I just didn't vote your side this time but my vote for you as a wonderful person has been cast 😊 You're life could have taken a different turn if you just walked away sheepishly and got back on the bus home. You didn't. You and your parents stood up for what was right and that is one of the basic principles America was founded on. I hope we can someday live by the basic principles again and expand upon them in a more positive manner. Thank you for your courage and your inspiration. God bless you.

Agreed, we do need more people like you and if people in a particular party didn't so often see through certain lenses or generalize about certain groups in the U.S, then I would likely vote for the party she ran under/with. However, identity politics have consumed this party and is tearing it apart and unfortunately Mrs. Abrams participates in this religion.

This is why we can’t trust those who were born with everything handed down to them. The rich and powerful feel they are invincible. This is why we got rid of kingdom. We got rid of king. In a democracy, the poor and voiceless always need a heroine to give us some sense to the flight of justice and equality. Georgia diversified and I hope Georgia will grow a greater mixed demographic that truly represent the rest of the US. Diversity is strength and not a weakness. Stacey Abrams, your questions are what we all need to ask ourselves.
