“Good teachers introduce new thoughts but great teachers introduce a new way of thinking” . Judging by this standard you are beyond great. Indeed as a newly graduate, my premature goal and identity really trouble me a lot in face of my transitional period from college to society. I tried to rethink but what’s the point of rethinking if my state of mind and perception of everything around remain the same? now I will try to rethink as you show me in this video. Thanks!

If only we had a place we could go weekly to meditate on our own weakness, and rethink our own lives in the spirit of humility. One that encouraged us to be less selfish, less judgemental, and to see the sometimes hidden virtues in others. I realized a few years ago that religious practice is less about belief, and more about the framing operating system it installs. This talk reminded me why I appreciate the many good churches.

Rethinking identity has been one of the most challenging aspects of my personal 50 yr journey. I have often prolonged transitions because I identify so deeply with a particular passion or profession. Part of the difficulty is shame based. A sense of failure or waste of time/effort. Like getting degrees in areas you no longer aspire to or ideologically identify with. Then you question your own ability to believe in anything because you once held to certain ideals/perspectives and now see things in a very different light. Not just an evolving variation but in direct opposition of what you once believed.

Those ancient words of wisdom that when the student is ready the teacher will appear. I am well beyond the average age of most students, yet because of a major life changing surgery several months ago, I've been faced with "thinking again" or literally dying. Last night when I was searching for solutions to breathing challenges ... I happened to find an interview with Adam Grant (not related to breathing, never the less something vitally needed). I am SO SO SO VERY impressed, inspired and amazed at the (thank you Adam} MAGIC that can appear when we are utterly focused on finding solutions!!!

Love everything you put out Adam! 🙏❤️ Thanks for all the research and effort that happens behind the scenes to create these clear, relevant frameworks. Super valuable in life and work! Biggest takeaway for me: Changing your mind can FEEL like admitting you’ve made a mistake. And we let the fear of mistakes hold sooooooo much power over our decisions (and lives) 🤯

The biggest reason why the metaphor of the frog in the pot is interesting is that it points out the most common reason why people fail to rethink a situation : We don't register gradual changes appropriately so we feel like there's no reason to rethink a situation that has barely changed. If something changes by 1% 200 times that basically means it's completely different yet we often keep the exact same strategy because we never felt like the 1% change was enough to justify rethinking our strategy.

Hello, I just watched a video by TED named this. "What if 3D printing was 100x faster? | Joseph DeSimone" *btw im on my moms account* So maybe you guys can do my idea, which my idea is that instead of having the print-out be on a platform with water and having light dry the water to do the print-out, you can use clay and put it in a microwave, or you can use nitrogen and make it interact with a liquid to turn it into a solid like in this --> "Turning a liquid into a solid" video that you can copy and paste to watch just like the other one in quotes. Theres also a video with the title talking about printing a detailed onject in 30 seconds! its called this... "Printing tiny, high-precision objects in a matter of seconds" So yeah. Thanks for reading this comment if you did.
