Employ and engage the actual people who you want to receive resources and without bias allow recipients to lead. Basic but powerful.

This problem goes further than philanthropy. Allocation of research funding suffers the same problem. In effect, important topics are neglected and lots of resources are wasted on helping donors shift demand, regulation and legislation in their favor.

Yup. They claim to give, yet their philanthropy fund keeps growing. It is almost as though it is just an investment fund with makeup on.

Today, I just got to know the idea of philanthropy in another edifying mode. It should not be a means to an end. The idea of trusting the community to make the funding decision is a great dynamics that any selfish or won't make.

@@MD-uu5nt yeah I'm sure staying at home had nothing to do with the pandemic at all, it was all the fault of the pandemic relief that literally kept people form starving to death and being thrown out on the street. UBI, the covering of the basic costs of living, food, shelter and utilities would free people to do more with their lives. not less. the rise of automation and A.I. is going to make UBI necessary sooner rather than later. tackling the problem before it's a crisis is the only smart move.

Stop dividing community on basis of race
@Islandvybz96
@Islandvybz96 10 ай бұрын
Idk if you’re blind or what but communities have been this way since the us government implemented laws & strategic plannings that led to it being this way. In modern day times it exists greatly because now it’s masked on “difference in income”. What Rebecca is trying to accomplish here is an attempt at closing the wealth gap created all those years ago by crowdfunding into opportunities with the people who suffered the most from the inequalities. Idk how you got division of community based on race from what she said.

More father's in households, more discipline within those households, increase police presence in all affected areas, no more catch and release, focus on your homeless and not illegal immigrants, work hard, set goals, and strive for better. These liberals are bonkers 🤪

@@Dimitris_Balf@I_am_MathewH e's a prime example of "show me you're ignorant and fucking clueless, without saying you're rich and fucking clueless!" Sadly, he's too big of a fool to realize what a fool he is! That's why he keeps on talking and showing the world just how ignorant he is--because he mistakes his complete utter ignorance for intelligence! Speaking as a member of the very groups he's spewing his ignorance about, I can say full well he's part of the problem! Thank you, for being one of the ones who gets it, and being part of the solution!
