That tee is so you can attach to a single connection on a vacuum pump, or you can extend it like a wye with a third hose and get a bit of extra length. In the manual, there is a bit about the science behind why the system works that you will find interesting. Also, I would not recommend nylog on the o-rings. It is a bit of a dirt magnet, and the o-rings will seal just fine without it.

If i didn't already have the 2 core remover tools. A micron gauge I would say this set up. But alls I need to do is get two 3/8 hoses and make adapters on my vacuum pump and I can have the same results in about the same time.

Pulling through your manifold will never be as quick as using two short and big hoses. I use two 1/2" appion hoses. One end 3/8 flare and the other is 1/4. Both rated for 20 micron. I just pulled one system with line set and coil for 25 min and when I walked back to the system it was at 94 micron. I use a Tez-8 pump. Once you open the service valves then you connect your gauges, purge and charge as needed. I like these new hoses,, but they are too expensive and my setup cost a lot less. Thanks for the video

25 min is too long and manufacture requires 500 microns and test for 7 min if it holds the vacuum under 800 or 900 microns

It seem that the advantage is always to the tru blu. I have seen no video where the tru blu goes first. If there is moisture in the test vessel by going first you have more work to do. A better test is 5 or more real world service calls per vacuum set up. This would give realistic numbers. The bigger hoses would always be the better choice simply because it can handle more volume. I know that three foot hoses cut my vacuum time in half on average verses my five foot hoses.

What 2 kinds of hoses are you using to compare ??

Ted do you think those hose would be long enough to hookup to a majority of systems in the field with a “traditional” vacuum pump?
@TedCookHVAC6 жыл бұрын
No, not in all cases... but there is a kit with 3 hoses as well.

Ted got a question for you. I've been running evacuation with apion mega flow kit for couple years 1/2 inch hoses is the blu evac hoses better?
@TedCookHVAC6 жыл бұрын
The kit shown in this video is far superior in my opinion yes.

Do you like Fieldpiece Vacuum pump?
@TedCookHVAC5 жыл бұрын
Yes it works well... not very compact but great for certain jobs.
