I've had people come for me on this subject, as if it was their money we're talking about. I'd sqid the same thing happened to Eazy-E's kids, Lou Rawls kids, and a number of others. Just as many entertainers have no knowledge of royalties, publishing, masters, residuals, etc., many are not aware of wills or living trusts. One thing I've learned about many not doing wills, and it's that many don't want to discuss anything having to do with death.

I grew up listening to Teddy Pendergrass music. In the late 70s when he had become a top solo artist, I was still a young child, 12 years old in 1977 but all kids in my neighborhood and many others knew who Teddy Pendergrass was, sang his songs and loved his music!!! Unfortunately us young girls knew we were to young to ever go see him in concert. He was definitely considered a sexy, attractive man with an amazing voice and great songs!!! I'm from Philly and learning that he was from Philly our love for him, gave me and probably many others great pride!!! He was representing Philly, a big star and undeniably a great talent!!! Also at that age I learned of his "For Ladies Only" concerts which confirmed how crazy women were about him!!! I mean, even at that age I knew to be able to do that and always being successful with all those women attending his concerts, sold out concerts, he was definitely a sex symbol!!! I had never heard of any other singer/performer or artist that had ever done that and even though I was young I knew that was something very unique and special to pull off!!!! I've said over the years to people my age, how we knew all the words to Teddy's songs and would be singing our hearts out but didn't realize until we(me) got older what the words in his songs and the songs themselves actually were describing and expressing!!! We were to young to have experienced those feelings, emotions, love making and real relationships!!! I got it and could relate to them with a deeper feeling, understanding and emotional connection to his songs and the words in his songs as I got older and with experience in love, making love and intimate relationships!!! Nevertheless was great, PERIOD!!! Even though I love all his songs, even when he was with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, I have a few that are first on my list of my favorite Teddy Pendergrass songs. - Don't Hurt Now - Choice Tonight - Can't We Try LOVE THESE SONGS, they touch me, my heart, my soul and my spirit so profoundly!!!! I think he sings the HELL out of Can't We Try!!!! Teddy is undoubtedly one of the greats!!!! Rest in Heavenly Peace Teddy!!!!!!!!👏👏🏆🎤🎶🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉🤍❤🤍🙂

I can’t respect no Step Parent who doesn’t make sure the kids who were around before you are not taken care of! We should know she ain’t shit since his tombstone has their wedding picture and his house foreclosed! Also, she’s not caring for his mother either!

You're right. Karen is taking care of Mama Pendergrass 😔
@sandraatkins25392 жыл бұрын
Teddy and Karen were discussing getting back together shortly before he died. Joan is an evil one alright. On another note, I can't fathom Tyrese portraying Teddy. He does not have the looks for one. Further, when Teddy died Mrs. Pendergrass, his mother, went to the repast at Karen's house.

@Beaudful62 жыл бұрын
@Love Jones Because Tank is also an actor, his voice is more baritone than Tyrese, Tank looks more like TP than Tyrese especially with his facial hair, and he fits more of the personality of a lady's man. People may want Tyrese because he has acted more and we know he sings very well. Yet, Tyrese is not that great of an actor. I believe Tank could out act him and be taken more seriously over Tyrese. Tank's voice can get deep enough for Teddy's music. Yet, if the actor doesn't have to be able to sing, like many bio picks that voice over the music, then my original picks on who should play him still stands.

What an amazing story, you recanted his life so wonderfully. Other than his sucessful career and his incredible talent, I learned so many new things about him. Two things stood out to me... 1. Teddy P had ghetto Triplets? I had not idea about that. And 2. The audacity of Teddy Pendagrass to be cheating on his first wife, after she stood by him even at his deepest worst moments in life. .... lol. Like what? How does someone have so much nerve??? He must have been a smooth talker. Oh and one more thing stood out. Why did his trifling butt have that fancy car in that dusty looking garage?? Ha!

I agree with instilling independence and worth ethic in your kids, nothing wrong with leaving them something to make life more comfortable, though. Mr. Pendergrass, was destined to be a star, voice is smooth, soulful and demands your attention. Harold Melvin &Blue Notes “I Miss You” is perfect example of this.. My favorites are “The Whole Towns Laughing At Me” and “Somebody Told Me” beautiful tracks..
