@@southeastd.c5636 , Jamie probably jealous that he couldn't get DeVante to do some production and songwritting for himself. Or just jealous about DeVante's talents. I remember back in the days, dudes who were trying to become R&B, Funk, Soul singers would be hating on DeVante, Raphael Saadiq, and Prince because their talents were out of this world plus they were pulling mad women.

Another excellent interview Halftime Chat. Teddy was joking when he was talking to Jamie about Jodeci leading to the breakup of Guy. Teddy Riley already said the breakup of Guy was due to somebody from New Edition camp killing his best friend and their feud with New Edition. Jodeci wasn't playing with nobody when they came on the scene. They almost didn't even get a deal, because the guy they originally auditioned for didn't like their demo and said no. Heavy D overheard their audition performance and he told Andre Harrell about how good they were, and Andre Harrell listened them and signed them immediately. So we need to thank Heavy D for bringing Jodeci to the attention of Andre Harrell.

At last brothers bigging each other up and supporting each other not dogging each other all the time and dissing each other. This is the sort of positivity required to uplift black folk. Every time I hear white folk talk they are always full of praise for each other, win lose or draw. Especially when one of them does badly, they all rally around them and support them and give them all,the opportunities o fail until they make it. Brothers are quick to kick each other when down and write each other off and never give each other props. Kudos to you brothers.

Really did, great as they were. I was a mad BBD fan until Father MC came out with Treat Them Like They Want To Be Treated. I told my friends at school, I don't know the name of that group but who ever they are, that's my favorite group.

@@patrickleon7 *I remember. Jodeci showed they whole ass on that song, their debut with puffy behind the boards in his zone and devante on fire was gonna shake a generation. bbd were amazing too, they layed the blueprint down with new edition and could see how what they planted bore all these great seeds after them*

@@Chrishawn New Edition has a great legacy. Still listen to them. Jodeci was the one that did it for me, it all started and ended on them. They will forever be my number one favorite.

I don't like how Jamie tries to downplay Devante and Jodeci once teddy brings up jodeci moving them (Guy) out of the way.Guy vs Jodeci isn't a comparison at all, teddy's production & songwriting is nice and all but devante's production skills and songwritings come from the soul and you can feel and relate to Jodeci's muzik

So why Teddy took the kci's cousin with me in blackstreet. Aaron Hall made a song with kci and Jojo.Kci and Aaron Hall made a song together. And Jodeci on stage this is not good. No energy,no feelings. They just sing! Backstreet and Guy concerts are better.
