Those 3:31 gears seem so long, I have a 2019 GT with 3:73 and it looks a world of difference. If I have the gas planted, it seems like every 3-4 seconds Im shifting

Depends on build 3:73 are really good for NA builds...I have a supercharger and 3:73 I’m not using the power band as much as I would like so dropping down to 3:31. It’s a topic easy to search up if you a curious and want a better explanation.

idk I do alot of roll racing in my 2012 gt and the 331s are pretty freaking sweet I find. In stop and go traffic sure it feels like it takes a little to get to the power but when doing pulls it feels good and still feels like in doing alot of shifting when going from 1-3

The 18 up has different gearing in the manual. 373 is actually long on those it's similar to 331 on these older cars. The 11-17 mt82 had much more aggressive gearing. 373 is fine for boost on an 18 plus car. Especially a centrifugal car.

You can run gen 2 heads long as you run gen 1 timing components. Some do gen 3 short block for the 12:1 compression, and gen 2 heads and gen 1 timing components people refer to it as the 3-2-1 build.

It's not as much lighter as people think it is. Base model vs base model it's like 75-100 lbs give or take. It Def helps but it's not this huge difference like everyone makes it out. I prefer the s197 because of the solid axle. It's easier and cheaper to hold more power.
