Elegant player. Always loved watching him play. As a Spurs fan I was happy for the success he got at United. (Hope Kane wins the trophies he deserves.)

Now many Spurs fans might disagree,but I was never impressed with Sherringham until Jurgen Klinsman joined,after that 18mnths u saw a dramatic improvement!.. Infact he looked a completely different Player!

I get it he was a great footballer but let’s not say replacing Cantona, Sheringham scored 1 time in every 4 games for United, that’s not prolific at any level

4 games? But how many of those were 90min? As for Cantona, Sheringham was superior to him in European games where it really mattered. Cantona was poor in the CL, he tended to vanish, unlike Sheringham.

Both Sheringham and Berbatov were better footballers than Cantona. Cantona was the right man at the right time and an important cog in Utd's history and getting them going again, but he was strictly a domestic player. Having said that, he did win the World Championship beach football, which the other two haven't 🤣

Jurgen Klinsmann…..1 of the top European strikers ever….Teddy Sheringham……slightly better than average but versatile player who played with better players at Man U….not the same level

Far better than average. He was one of the few English players who knew how to play real football. Had a footballing brain better than most.
