Same here. I loved and faught as hard as I could. The hardest thing I've ever done in my life was to walk away knowing how much I loved her. This guy Teddy makes you feel more than the words. I can recall going through a divorce years ago, and going to sit in front of the same lake every day after work until dark. A lot of men won't admit such hurt, that penetrates your heart, mind & soul! And, I'm sure I will lose my man-card due to such transparency, but I'm ok with that! I lost 30 pounds, couldn't eat, couldn't think, couldn't sleep & at times couldn't even breathe! I prayed & cried continually asking God to make my marriage work out, and for my ex-wife to come back home. Man, I tell you, I cried enough tears to fill up that entire lake. I missed her kisses, her touch, her hugs, her eyes, etc. It took me a year of the same routine, before realizing that "I couldn't make her love me, if she didn't, I couldn't make her feel something she wouldn't", so I finally mustered up the strength to move forward with life. I now carry a piece of that lake with me 20 years later! To all of you who had your hopes & dreams shattered, you "can't make someone love you if they don't, and you can't make their heart feel something it won't". I wish you the best, life will go on. I'm 2 years separated from my wife and struggled accepting this. It literally took me all of the two years putting myself through hell doing everything I could to win her back. I had no idea I was doing it all wrong only pushing her farther away. It wasn't until I finally admitted to myself that I needed help, everything became so clear. I'm a better man because of it and now my kids and ex wife will have the father and man they always needed. She found someone new and is finally happy. He's everything I should of been and I'm accepting of the fact. All I want now is for everyone to be happy. I am happy and accepting of being alone now. That in no way takes ur man card fam. My girlfriend just had are little girl 3 months ago and about a month and a half ago she just stopped talking to me. She had asked me for months to man up and get sober and be able to take care of them once our daughter was born. I failed to do so and it took her completely shutting me off for me to start making changes in my life. But as much as I miss every single moment I had with her from her kissing me to just letting me hold her as we fell asleep I can say that she is strong enough to make sure our daughter is in the right place and it also showed me how important she truly is to me and made me get my shit together. None of us can make some love us but in the heartbreak we all have to find something to take from it that can be positive and better ourselves and if God has his plans then nothing can change them and if u believe that someone is ur one and only and for whatever reason ur not with them at this time u have to look deep within urself and fight with every thing in ur soul to be the person ur suppose to be. Changing urself does not mean it’s a condition u have to meet in order for that someone to love u. If they love u then they distanced themselves from u because they love u and what u to find who u are the one they see. We all have to love ourselves before we can ever truly love another. I thank my child’s mother for not sitting back and allowing me to kill myself with addiction. She knew that if I thought I have lost everything I love them I would do anything and everything to show her I love her and our child more than anything. I don’t know if she will want me back or if our family will be together again but I do know she loves me and I love her and that’s enough to keep going until my lungs give out and my heart stops beating. To anyone who is heartbroken right now no we can’t make someone love us but God has someone meant for all of us and we can’t give up or quit or we will never find true happiness with the one we love or with someone else who is the true love we have been searching for. Just keep ur head up and keep putting one foot n front of the other because love is worth hurting for it’s the reason for living. If ur someone who all u want to do is hold that person u love and never let go then fight with all u have to give and u will find urself holding that curtain someone that ur truly meant to love and hold forever.
