I've only recently discovered Teddy Thompson and now he's one of my favourites. He's lovely and such a great voice.

Stumbled across this guy after listening to Glen Campbell’s awesome version of this song with Dick Dale and Chris Isaak. Anybody who has had their song covered by Glen Campbell or Dick Dale can hold their head high. I’ll have to check out more of Teddy Thompson’s music. Thanks for uploading it!
@landtlandt13 жыл бұрын
I love this guy as much as I love his dad! You're right: why don't Americans notice the Thompsons' talent? Teddy has more talent as singer or songwriter than 95% of those out there that bill themselves as either! Sing on, Teddy.

Lyrics: Got an easy place to be In my arms, in my arms Got a simple space to feel free In my arms, oh in my arms Keep it on the recent Keep it on the now Give me an easy way out It's a lonely world that I got In my arms, in my arms Got a 'lotta room to get lost In my arms, in my arms Keep it on the recent Keep it on the now Give me an easy way to get out Keep it on the recent Keep it on the now Give me an easy way out Got an easy place to be In my arms, oh in my arms Not much to feel from me In my arms, oh in my arms In my arms

Saw Teddy a few weeks ago at Infinity Hall Norfolk Ct. He was awesome, what talent, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. His parents Richard and Linda Thompson so great!
@LeadMe2TheBliss Жыл бұрын
Richard is a rock God, but he can still most likely go to the mall by himself and do some shopping and no one would probably notice him. It's actually pretty sad, Richard deserves more recognition.

It was this video and song that made me "go crazy" and say that Teddy is one of the best singers in the business in our day. After being a fan for more than 15 years, I haven't changed my mind about Teddy, but have become something of what we used to call "superfan."
@flyboy131313 жыл бұрын
So funny to hear this country-sounding voice coming from such a “proper” sounding Englishman . His speaking voice is a surprise next to his singing voice . Nevertheless , his songs have me run the gamut from tapping my toes , feeling his lyricism , or wiping my eyes . His voice instantly brings out emotions . Without sounding trite , he is one of the few singers that sings a song while holding a key to my heart- his voice directly ends up there and bypasses all other senses . I feel more people should be familiar with him and his voice . I don’t think he’s gotten the accolades he deserves as a fantastic artist .
