I showed my wife the image of Teddy & Marc, explaining the polar separation of their styles. See, Honey, Teddy is this young, refined gentleman that just opened a brick & mortar, while Marc hasn't shaved in 4 days but is an encyclopedia of horology. They're together, in the same room. Obviously at Teddy's, but together! This is going to be awesome! Of course, she said she didn't care, but it was indeed a great video.

Wrong, Marc is selling gray market. I just ordered Seiko #SRE003. It was a good price, $236. However it's available on other sites for $199. But that's not the issue, it was the French issue. My date window says: Lun, Mar, Mer, Jeu, Ven, Sam, Dim !

I'm back watching TGV, enjoying his schtick and weird pronunciations and content.

Marc is a top notch guy. TGV is who I first heard about him and Long Island Watch. My first ever automatic watch, a Seiko SKX 007 came from him. OMG.... this is a hilarious session between you.... to see you both on together is very special... I follow both of you regularly (along with TGV) and others.... I'm a supporter of Five Forty Five in wellington NZ, and even purchased Marc's Montauk co-lab with Squale ... so yes, a fan for sure! currently thinking I'd love a blue 1521....Likewise Teddy's visit to Oris had a big impact on me... So I have a TT1 divers date automatic (for me its a wonderful robust design piece ... to my eyes more elegant than the aquis)... I thoroughly enjoyed the awkward moments esp at the beginning... they made the whole thing incredibly genuine and real... I love mechanical things (grew up with an automotive engineer father, so no escape) sorry pun not intended....his grand father had a Rotherhams hunter pocket watch, which I've been very lucky to spend time with, and also stumbled across a beautiful 1950's Junghans pre Max Bill and even more minimal which seems hard to believe... very elegant and understated. My life with time pieces started very early when I purchased a very reliable NZG railway clock at age 14... it was my first antique....what a journey!

First "serious" or rather "what-got-me-into-watches" was a Seiko Presage which i purchased from Long Island Watch. I still have it, love it, and loved the service. Since that first purchase i've now got two Grand Seikos (from retail), but it all started with that Presage from Long Island Watch.
