I just bought myself a KUOE 90-002 Bronze, and it is even more stunning in person. The bronze and textured, chocolate dial work so damn well together. They are such rich colours and that streak of red on the NATO strap cuts through that richness and provides a pop of colour. Phenomenal looking watch; I can't wait to see it patina! When i graduate next year, I want to pick up a Baltic Chronograph. I was debating an Oris Big Crown Pointer Date but I already have a Date complication in my collection (Seiko Alpinist SPB121J1) and I'd like a Chronograph. I'd personally put the Baltic on a black leather strap.

The fade with that BLUE and the sandwich dial where you outlined the the piercing is genius - You can see under macro where the cut-out isn't as clean as we'd like but that's under macro and likely can't be noticed with the naked eye. I'm a dive watch junkie so I love it - Good job!

Prototype is eerie. Like that episode of Space1999 where they get back to Solar system just to find Earth dead with a duplicate Moon already present. You either love it or get scared. Kevin got scared but there will be people loving it.

Baltic is verrry nice. However, a little too "inspired" by classic designs. I see why Kevin didn't choose them, although I think they are very nice. They do offer value over a higher brand with a similar design aesthetic, but realstically, it's har for me to spend that on a Baltic with a known look when I can spend a little more and get a Tutor... If I'm going smaller, I want unique, cool and VERY high quality. If I'm spending over $2500 and getting up there, I'd do something like a new Fortis Fleiger or a Glaschutte or maybe even a Zelos. Even Rado.

Trafford was my number 1 out of these 8. The dial is really next level with the white and red pairing. The typography is also much cleaner than many other watch brands that I see (looking at you Kuoe). Finally the hands are interesting while retaining the clean aesthetics. The 2 things I’d change: 1. I wish the casing was more glossy to give it a more premium/clean look. And 2. I wish the straps were a different material and maybe matched/extended the white or red in the dial. If they changed these 2 things, it’d be an easy buy for me.

I loved this video and hope to see more like it. My heart goes to Baltic. Im a huge collector of Baltic. I would like to see someone do a good video overview of the full Baltic collection and brand. I love KUOE. I was lucky to visit their store in Kyoto. They look so much better in person. My mom ended up buying the watch and told me to give it to my son. One of the highlights of my trip to Japan

This is the best segment I've seen with Teddy and Kevin. It was great to see so many different watches from independent brands. Watermelon was the best though. Love the care free expression.

One thing missing is actually trying them on the wrist. I saw many if these in the latest watch windup fair in SF. Nothing put a smile on my face like trying the Studio UnderdØg watermelon watch. I was drawn in to micro brands with more traditionally inspired watches. I didn't want to like Studio UnderdØg but ended up loving after seeing it person! No other watch came close.

Main thing that brings me to wanting a Trafford is that not many brands opt for a Square style watch. Along with so many different dial options and the Miyota 9039 movement, and adding a little bit of color pop in the case back, it makes it a great a sub $750 conversation piece with many things to talk about.

I've just had my first ever proper watch from Seiko, and I've had Kuoe pop up on my feed on social media for quite some time and just love what they did with their Royal Smith 90-008. This video just gave me more boost on giving micro brands a try, and the Monta Noble was by far my favorite!

I don’t usually like the color red on dials but the trafford stood out right away. To me it was between Kuoe and Trafford and then they won! This is some really great content. Can't say Trafford didn't deserve to win but there were some really great watches in the mix. Really liked the Oak and Oscar white dial GMT, that was my favourite. Please, please, please, more of this type of content. It's really great to get exposure to the different brands and see really interesting content around watch brands that aren't Rolex, AP, Patek, Vacheron etc. As much as I love those brands
