Happy to hear someone mention Raymond Weil finally! I have a Parsifal Automatic that was my dad's before he passed that I have grown quite attached to despite it not being one I would have personally chosen. It just feels solid and well put together and works for pretty much everyday wear if I wanted to. I have to get it serviced though because it seems to have lost its water resistance and I would really like keep it for a long time. I'm a thin guy and my dad was more heavy set, he probably outweighed me by more than 100lbs, yet when I put that watch on for the first time I found out we had basically the same wrist size. Genetics is uncanny!

Glad to hear Baume and Mercier getting at least some recognition. Great product . I have owned my Capeland for 14 years as a daily watch and it been beat to death with whatever I throw at it. . I just completed a complete lakehouse remodel and it was on my hammer arm and I never thought twice about the need to remove it. I did thousands of heavy pounding movements in the demolition and rebuild and my elbow and wrists gave up before the watch even lost a few seconds a day. I have wanted to purchase another watch for years just to have more a more diversified watch collection. However ,I can’t since this watch doesn’t give me a reason to give up on it since it fills all the tool , dive, and dress needs .

First, collectors discovered vintage LUC 1860 so the prices started rising, then their Alpine Eagle began to do well.
