I like his enthusiasm and it's refreshing to see a guy who's not married to brands or heritage. He's just buying because he likes the watch. There's nothing wrong with that. He's not a watch snob.
@donellmcclure54454 жыл бұрын
@Theo The ONLY thing that makes an expensive watch worth the buy is if you enjoy owning it. If you value brand and heritage and that enhances your enjoyment of ownership that is great. If someone else couldn't care less about brand and heritage and just likes the biggest boldest most complicated watch they can find because that enhances their enjoyment, also fine. Different strokes.

I disagree about in store vs. online. Watch Journalists, youtubers and ads all present watches as looking good online and when you place the order and they come I've noticed often times is falls below expectattions. I am new to watch collecting and I'm constantly being cat-fished with watches and have to return them. I MUCH prefer to first see the watch in person, get a feel for them with my own eyes and senses. The advantages of online shopping is finding watches that are limited or rare.

I love this watch so much, it gives me goose bumps even when i see it in the videos. Everytime i have it on my wrist i think about what i had to do do be able to spend so much money on a watch and what i am capable of and that i am never gonna give up. I would never ever sell that watch. I hope i can explain the sentimental value to a maybe future son and make him waer it and never sell. His advice on pasive income is similar to the advice I always give people about buying cars. Save until you have the money to pay cash for the car you want, then keep it all invested and finance the car. And unless you're a car enthusiast, buy the most reliable affordable car you can. Then you are making passive income instead of sinking all your $ into a depreciating asset. Treat growing the money you earn and save like a second job and pretty quickly you'll realize how enjoyable it is to be able to buy yourself something nice once or twice a year without it impacting your long term financial goals.
