The swordmaster build with knight's steel greatsword and a broken armor plus last stand, run and wrath. You get to charge through enemies with interception from the sword, slows your enemies down for one round. next, you can move to a favorable position to do your 2x slash attacks and wrath. At the end, you can just leave the enemies' mobility range with remaining moves and "run" then rinse and repeat. P.S. you should try to take out enemy archers first and it should be perfectly doable with your outstanding burst damage.

thx for this guide! i'm near lvl8 with all my char, less than 1000xp. and this vid is perfect. but even with mant lvl11 items and animals, with a +30 squad each fight last twenty minuts it's a long way. but many lvl8 skill seem to be bugged

After winning smotts arena go talk to the old gladiator in the vertrusian windmill and he will teach you the subclass.

explosive gaz is very expensive, but with a poison brute with poison oil, and poison knife with the aoe poison dagger, i can't wait testing how many stacks i can place on ennemies

Thats a good point if you have a team with a lot of poison set up then that ability can pop off.

@@TeddyNinja in fact i've got all spec of all different unit, and i made a poison team, an animal team, a bleed team, an aoe team etc... for try everything. Maybe in a next play i will manage to select them and limit my troop to 12-15. But for the moment i can't choose

@@unnamed5603 you must craft throw dagger to the blacksmith, then apply poison on them to the apoticary. Is that answer your question?

Thanks, the spear is from the Ludern tomb of the ancients if you side with the trackers.

The thing that you didn't taken into account with lastpush tho ;p is that not only ennemies are able to apply "debuff" wink wink but to be fair anyway it depend on how the perks work cause RN i have like so much possibility in my head on how it calculated etc ... taking into account the valor cost if the took the most boring and weak approach it's pathetic and a waste ootherwise can be broken or op !

I believe blackout is predominantly for ranged attacks

Hmm, if that is the case it still feels very weak compared to the other ranger options. Also, we need significant tooltip changes because as written it seems like it applies to all enemies, and the melee enemies are able to be inflicted with the status effect. I wonder if it gets changed how the devs will balance it.

recklessneess is wasted when you use challenging shout first before doing damage skill right?

yes i think so, at least recklesness doesnt apply when u use something like deflect for example before you attack the first time

Ok but how hardcore training interact with the resistant trait then ? Cause it kinda serve the same purpose but his easier to get or impossiblme to not get so :/ ? Even tho yeah resistant isn't sadly 100% or 90 %

I'm not sure what the interaction there is honestly, the traits have been expanded a lot since making these guides.

yeah you unlock the assassin subclass by winning smots arena and then talking to the old gladiator in the vertrusian windmill. As they add arenas each one will unlock a new subclass in this way.

@@Itsnoah2244 ah, I gotcha now. Yeah that would be a fun video to make. You said you're on hard free roam at lvl 5 right now? I think the start at levels 1 and 2 before you get good equipment and abilities is the hardest and then there is another difficult spike with level 6+ enemies when they start getting their extra passive and unique units. I also think playing with some of the weaker animal companions is a bit of a handicap.

Opening engagement with "battle cry" doesn't work.. because since you use the battle cry as your first skill, reckless is not working anymore.. stupid mechanism..

Yeah... it's been a slow process for me. Here's to hoping that why the up the level cap all the way up to level 11 they give us some fast track ways to gain xp.
