in 2012 i went to bali in indonesia and i went on a tour to a mangrove forest. we saw crabs, mudskippers and the tiny silver fish in the water. that night, the mangrove forest was full of fireflies, it was like sitting in a sea of stars. it was one of my best memories of travel. however when i went back there 5 years later, the mangrove was replaced by a seaside hotel. it was all stone and concrete, no sign of the beautiful wildlife there once was i hope we can treasure these precious mangroves before theyre gone...

So amazing to find people talking about this in a popular context. I work in the Indian Sundarbans (part of the world's largest Delta formed by the River Ganges), studying elasmobranchs and oh boy! There are a lot of shark attacks that still occur (much less than before) in the region, and I have recorded fisher ecological knowledge stating that during high tide, tiger sharks enter the estuaries chasing other big fish. Fascinating! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Thank you. 😊

I have made a poem: There was once a man who dared to wade through the darkness, He ought to himself to face all the demons who hid in there, He wandered into the darkness to find his true self, He thought to himself what lied at the end of the darkness? Light? Or a void of eternal emptiness? He faced his deep fears, took a dive into the endless sea of sadness and grieve, through the forest of loneliness, and onto the path of thorns full of misery. Only, to find what was to be kept deep within his heart for all of eternity. This poem would sound amazing if Mr. Iseult Gillespie reads it in his own tone.
