Journalist Carl Honoré believes the Western world's emphasis on speed erodes health, productivity and quality of life. But there's a backlash brewing, as everyday people start putting the brakes on their all-too-modern lives. Honoré is best known for his advocacy of the Slow Movement. His book "In Praise of Slowness" dissects our speed-obsessed society and celebrates those who have gotten in touch with their "inner tortoise."

So strange... A journalist and an author of a book is using ridiculous examples of "bad slow" and "good slow" for his explanation... and doesn't remember such a simple idea about "a harmony" and "a balance" between all important things (speed, time, money, relations etc.) for a human. An idea known for thousands of years and being repeated by profound thinkers and philisophers. Quickness and Slowness both are bad targets because they can lead you to "too fast" or "too slow" conditions. The true goal is to find a "balance" between them, a balance which makes you to feel comfortable, satisfied and happy.
