This video is the video teaches you what really works to polish the marble to a mirror surface. The Oxalic acid is critical to the final effect.I should just follow this tutorial at the beginning when we polished our marble....

When will you make a video with MB zero+ I purchased and used it but I’m sure it’s a slight learning curve to it. Had to play around with it a far as if I’m using too little water or too much water. Overall the marble came out great.

@@oklahomapressureclean5897 I prefer mb22 or 5x for most projects. Zero is great for sensitive stones, those stones that can orange peel or etch like Nero marquina, emperador, botocino, and other sensitive marbles.

Powder polish with MB zero or crystallized. We like to take it up to 3500 and hit it with a light crystallizer. It comes out perfect.

Thanks for the helpful video. I have a dark gray marble table with light etching spots. Do you rhink it can be restored with the dry powder you use in the final step, or does it need diamond polishing?

Great video. I worked my way up to the 1800 pad but still see some scratches from the previous pads. Any suggestions?
@tedmcfadden
@tedmcfadden Жыл бұрын
If you see scratches they are most likely form the lower grits. You will need to be more thorough with your first ferw grits after your first grit. It is important to be able to distiguish the scratch pattern of the different grits and that comes with practice

Would you recommend Evans Vandoline liquid polishes after grinding of marble surfaces?
@tedmcfadden
@tedmcfadden Жыл бұрын
I don't have any experience with that product but in looking at the product page on the web site, it should work well. The pH is 7.2 so it will not etch. I would suggest not over-applying it over time. Since it is made for furniture it could get a bit of build-up and become streaky.

I have quartzite counter tops would the process be the same or do I need to start out with a less aggressive pad?
@tedmcfadden
@tedmcfadden Жыл бұрын
You will need to treat quartzite like granite. You are dealign with metamorphic quartz which is a very hard not reactive surface. This video can not be usedf as a reference. You are better off using one of my granite polishign videos. If you are the owner of this counter, you may want to call a pro.

Quartzite is a whole different ball game its yhe hardest to polish and to get the pilish to match to surface polish for quartzite you will need hard surface polishing pads and backer and must be done wet.

@@tedmcfadden thank you so much Ted. I did not say it right. It is cement based. You are such good person to respond 🤗 My Dad passed away. He made custom tombstones for Bosnians. He had one unfinished project that only is missing polishing. He asked me on his deathbed to make sure his customers get his last work. They came to pay for it and pick it up so it's my job to finish it. I am his daughter and I wanna keep my Dad's honor as he never left any job unfinished. He worked till week before he died at age of 80. Amazing craftsman and great man like you. Thank you again for your answer and video. I got all the tools but I was afraid to not mess it up.

Why not granite all the time? Is the majority of work you do marble polishing? I'm looking to buy a set up and all I see is 4inch nsi, I was wondering if I could use that for everything to start my business.
@tedmcfadden

NSI is a granite polishing tool manufacturer. If you are only going to polish and repair granite than I highly recommend them. But granite and marble require different tooling so you will need to have a couple of arrows in your quiver.
