Ann McKnight has been a licensed psychotherapist for over 20 years. Ever curious about what moves us toward wholeness and satisfaction in everyday living, she has been exploring the crafts of Nonviolent Communication and Restorative Circles for the last 10 years. Through experimentation in all areas of her life, she is growing to see conflict as an invitation to deeper understanding, strengthened relationships and dynamic, vital community. Ann is currently working with Grand Haven and Spring Lake Public Schools, Community Policing Officers through the Holland Police Department, Hope College, Western Seminary, Hope Church, Black River Public School, various health care organizations, churches, schools, families, couples and individuals in West Michigan.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

Excellent! Ann's invitation to us all to "Move towards conflict with curiosity" is increasingly relavant to the post-pandemic world we find ourselves in, now nearly 10 years after this was initially recorded.

Tried and tested Ann and working really impressively with children who exhibit very challenging behaviour. We have been using this process as a pre-cursor to restorative justice and the reduction in exclusions has been phenomenal.

Ms. McKnight, this is an awesome insight on how to handle conflict to strengthened relationships. I enjoyed watching and listening to your thoughts in this video, very informative and well spoken. Listening to this speech came at an opportune time in my life. "Words of Wisdom" to hear and learn for all races, nationality and origins.

there are many circles. All circles have one point. I AM that One Point. The many circles are illusions created by the One Point.
