Honestly, in my own opinion, you don't have to call it the "Kpop Community" Its just like any other artist/band. Example is One Direction. They were singers and people loved them. They had connections with fans. And same goes for Kpop Idols.

Certainly came here for bts but was stunned by her speech! To most of the people in the audience, it would have been boring but to kpoppers like us, it's very true. Whatever she said is actually very true and kpop really has taught me a lot of things especially, to be open to other cultures and other people's opinions. Kpop is a world on a whole another level. My comment cannot elaborate everything kpop because we need to experience it to understand it.

Amazing speech Dabin Woo! I suppose you are younger than me and very talented. I do became an A.R.M.Y. like six months ago and my life changes until then. Like I am free from depression and I love myself. Boom! I am so proud of that in my life. But I do regret about why I didn't discovered this seven beautiful men some years ago, I could may be face my dark times and survive my highschool. And yes, it changes many things in my life. BTS should know about how they helped people from dark times even without any direct communications. You could only experience the beauty of it, once you started to become the fan of them. We are not just fans of their works, but also we love them because of their personalities as well. And also, thank you for your amazing speech and you deserve more reorganization. Keep fighting! One time, my sister and I put together a slide show presentation explaining Kpop (positions of members, origin, fan customs, etc) and then showed two mvs afterword (SVT and LOONA!) We showed our parents and they were genuinely interested in our speech (lol), that we ended up making a part 2 and a part 3 afterwards! Anyways, I really enjoyed your speech and thanks for sharing your love of Kpop to people :)) Kpop fandoms unite!

Most of my family say that k-pop is annoying or they ask why i listen to it if i cant even understand it but too me it doesn't really matter if i cant understand because i love k-pop and nothing is gonna stop me from listening to something that i love.

Great job, Dabin Woo!! You are the same age as my daughter, who introduced me to k-pop. I really enjoyed your talk, and loved hearing how you've been able to make more social connections because of your love for k-pop. I could tell you were nervous, but you got through it all beautifully! My daughter is a fan of a few different groups--Shinee, BTS, and Stray Kids being the main ones. I enjoy music from a lot of different groups, but I only stan BTS. (So far, anyway!) One other thing I've noticed from being an ARMY is that the fandom doesn't just bond fans from different backgrounds, but fans of different ages. Enjoying k-pop together does help us bridge the generational gap and gives us something we can bond over. RM said it so well, "Music transcends language and countries and races." I would also add that it transcends gender and age differences! How cool it is to be a part of such an amazing global community! Good luck with all of your future plans and endeavors!

Kpop has me talking to strangers I’d never even look at just because they are wearing a shirt that has a Kpop group or because their dancing a familiar dance. Kpop has also opened my mind to my passion and what I want to do for the rest of my life, I used to not have an idea of what I wanted to do. Now I can clearly see it, before Kpop I used to learn the dances of old boy bands, but they were never popular and there was very few places I could find them, and so I never found my passion in it. But Kpop opened my eyes and now I can find so much joy in learning the dances and singing to the songs, even learning the language and being more open to other languages/countries. It has completely changed my outlook on life and even gave me more confidence. People now are self depreciating themselves, and I found that most of them haven’t fallen in love with Kpop or fell out of love with Kpop. I always try to stay positive for the message that my favorite idols always try to convey freedom, unity, and love. I try to get others into Kpop and even help them learn the language because we have a strong common interest.

I’m really not good at talking with people, when I first meet them, and I have walls, that I need to break down, before I can feel comfortable around them. That makes me sound 100% introvert, which I’m not. I think a lot of non-introverts can relate to this aswell. Let’s get to my point... I really like kpop, and I’m of course a part of ARMY, and I have been since May 2018. I’ve connected with so many new people online because of that, and it makes me so happy. ARMY is one big family, which is why, they stand out so much. But 2 weeks ago I met a fellow ARMY in real life. And though I had just met her, I felt like very comfortable, because we had so much talk about. Meeting her was like meeting a friend. That’s what it feels like to be a part of ARMY. That’s the power of K-pop.
