And noone talks about the child abuse since this idols are kept in bootcamps starting the age of 11 beeing drilled to fit the companies expectations. Then pushed out to the market to generate revenue and burn out after a couple of years. Same as America did or does with the casted Boy- and Girlgroups. But still: KPop has something to draw us in. Even me to a point.

Oh no, its get talked about alot. There are definitely problems and it is being addressed as the industry is still evolving. And also, It's more of cultural difference btw east and west regarding choice & work ethic. Plus, in your logic, all those young kids aspiring to be a pro athlete should not practice more than x amount of hours. However, if they do more than x amount of hours in the West, they'd be considered a hardworking but if this happens in Asia, it's instantly labeled as an abuse.

@@ericsohn5084 Well child pro athletes are child abuse also. No kid should be treated like that. The same goes for child actors and everything thats related. A kid can not consent to that. I know the asian mindset quiet a bit and that their work ethics are way more strong than the ones in the west. Still a kid is a kid.

@@Hummus.Warrior Fair point. They will never ever get a job with another company or have any money at this point. But they can leave.

@@christiandenzler574 so there should be no kids on TV and kids should not be tought anything before they are adults. Got it. That is called privilege. Maybe read the interview RM gave to El Pais last year. Not to mention you are wrong. Most trainees are "a few years" older when they begin training - some even are adults.
