I feel so proud because this song tells the history of our island Panay and our province Antique. Malay tribes came to the island and traded a golden helmet and necklace for a piece of land from our ancestors, the Ati (Aeta).

Our ancestors were the Ati who inhabited Panay during the pre-Hispanic era. But since Borneans settled in the plains, they had eventually became our anceators too.

No, lmao. It sounds Hiligaynon. Their "O's" should be more of the "U" sound. Like: dinag-on, should've been dinag-un; the "U" articulated as "euh"

Agreed, the accent is a bit off. But I'm not surprised, because it was sung by Tagalogs.
