Why is TED placing a warning on this talk? This is evidence based. The speaker is Dr. Aly Cohen is a board-certified rheumatologist and integrative medicine physician, as well as an environmental health specialist. Her medical practice, Integrative Rheumatology Associates, P.C., located in Princeton, NJ, focuses on the western medical and integrative approaches to rheumatologic disorders, including arthritis, chronic pain, immune system dysfunction and women’s health.

It would be great if we got this to a much higher scale. I hope that one day people are better educated including all the influencers, actors, and singers in order to help grow this topic for children and teens. I think its very important and very crucial to our health. Loved this video !!

Bravo! Thank you Dr.Cohen for stepping up to investigate and educate. As a victim of sick building syndrome and toxic mold poisoning, I developed environmental allergies as a result. My primary physician diagnosed me with environmental allergies but she changed fields shortly after and I went to Mayo Clinic for care. Sadly, of all the eight soevislists I consulted with, only one had the knowledge and honestly to inform me that she agreed I was suffering from Environmental illness, but unfortunately Mayo didn’t know how to treat. She suggested functional medicine and so I began exploring that avenue and changing many life habits as you did. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to practice avoidance in order to maintain some kind of baseline in my health. To become chemically damaged changes one’s entire life. I applaud you for your efforts in trying to find ways to educate young people and to bring about awareness!

She kinda did miss out on telling us how to actually protect our kids from such chemicals. A few resources would be nice.

Surprised she didn't change the toxic dyes used for her hair color, though many studies point to harmful effects of hair dye ...

@@ysunsets According to her talk, she mentions she swapped out harmful cosmetic products for safer versions but she had to compromise on certain things such as dyeing her hair. She states "There are some sacrifices l won't make, atleast for now". Please watch the talk and share what you think.
