Hello Chef Meghna! I've enjoyed your TedX speech thoroughly. As long as your message is clear and you're able to convey it, that's what is important. I appreciate you and admire you for being able to talk in front of ( I seriously have no clue) n number of people present there. It needs guts no doubt. No matter how good your accent and english is, if you can't speak you just can't but here you've done an amazing job. Loved your talk and confidence (and it's okay if you're a little nervous :) ). Cheers

@Meghna It's my favourite video ..like to listen to it again & again.. 💯 true. Every woman wants independence, equality and compliment. But very few women get all these. They get criticism instead & fall into depression. They forget their true potential & stop being happy.

Women don't want to he treated equally, they want to keep the good parts of being a woman, and want the good parts of being a man. Both of those without the downsides of either. That is how they view, "being equal".

Right speech dear Meghna ji..... Independence, Equality,, Complements necessary for every individual, thus Buddhist Babasaheb Dr B R Ambedkar gave more importance in the Indian Constitution, these above three words - Independence, Equality and Complements..... along with these three words.... Dr Ambedkar ji wrote fraternity + Justice + equity is also necessary for each individual person. These words are heart of the Indian Constitution that is the reason entire world respect our Indian Constitution....... Except few group of orthodox + fascist + inhumane +notorious +criminal mind-sets peoples are destroying our Indian Constitution.... means these type of criminal people have rejected our indian Constitution to destroy our vishvaguru country BHARAT = INDIA.... reason : these criminal mind-sets peoples are rejecting / have rejected ... Independence + equality +complements + fraternity +justice +equity to each individual citizen of India......thus :- I SALUTE heartily to Buddhist Babasaheb Dr B R Ambedkar to wrote best Constitution in the world. I SALUTE cordially to the Bhagwan Buddha who made our country BHARAT vishvaguru in his period.

I weighed 80 kg before I transformed myself to 58 kg. I come from lower middle class family that went through financial crisis, I did 5 different jobs ...so just to set the record straight, the concept of equality, independence & compliments has nothing to do with economic class, race, religion or health. It's just about what do women really want... Regds, Chef Meghna

I think that book with the blank pages was more accurate than this to be honest. People should not make the mistake to assume that everyone else wants the exact same thing as they do. I know lots of women who want the exact opposite to independence. In fact, they enjoy to be dependent (I don't know why, I am a man). I also know women who don't want to be "equal", because they see men and women as completely different "species". They basically "got it", and use this knowledge (the equality) and their knowledge of men, to their advantage. But she is right.....all women want compliments, I have never met a woman who hates compliments, with a very few exceptions (sick individuals) .....of course, only if the compliments are honest (and not just the usual compliments to get something back in return, you know what). All in all, I think most of the women who insist on these things, have a cultural (or familly) background with lots of oppression either from their fathers, the society, etc. which then tends to create some other extremes which is not good either. Its like a constant fight with no opponent.

problem isn't that she has an accent, it's that it makes it realy hard to understand what she is saying, combine that with bad understanding of how words are linked together in normal english speech and the fact that the captions are terrible makes what she is saying very hard to understand. And she probobly has a great message, but i tried, and i dont think i got it as much as either of us would have wanted.
