As a hobbyist guitarist, I may have developed a little bit of this skill. There is one pop song that is very popular for wedding party. My guess is that song uses minor chord especially in the chorus. Obviously this is a happy song. Yet, I hate it so much. To me the chorus is little bit similar to the chorus of Mr Big song called "where are they now". I don't know the meaning of this song but it can't be a happy one. Since I'm very familiar with Mr Big's song, listening to this chord progression within a happy song is very annoying.
