Experiencing the passing of a loved one, with dignity and honor and in the presence of as many loved ones as can or wish to be present is a beautiful moment. We have been taught that death is scary and awful but why should it be any different than the welcoming of a new child into the family…quietly, with reverence for the moment, compassion for the mother who has given every ounce of energy to carrying and then birthing the child….we can be with a loved one, hold their hand and warmly walk them to the next life and let them go with love….and understandable terrible and yet courageous pain of understanding that we will be living in their absence but keeping their memory alive in our hearts.

May you have a blessed time together. My dad died at 59, and I was abroad, only got notified after he had passed. So I missed out on being with him.

Not my concern. Mine is being allowed to do "Green" burials and home burials. I had to fight to honor my wifes wishes. 😢 Only one was allowed.

You remind me of a comedian I saw, who worked in a morgue and was Denver Paramedic. Thank you
