If I'm able to connect my brain to the internet what stops my mind from being hijacked and my thoughts from being spied on or my memories and my hormones altered by the nanobots??

Ask Republicans how they feel about being completely shut out of any political conversation. Ask doctors, and scientists how they feel about being shut out of the conversation about COVID, and this 'Vaccine. When big tech is only allowing one side to have dialog. While working in concert with this administration, and global elites pulling the strings from behind the curtains for only one message. You're already getting a taste of what these people can do. They want total control of our movements, and thoughts.

With so much current issue that's going on, I highly doubts prejudice toward others will ever go away.

geeks should not be the ones determining our future also the implication that rich people evolving themselves would cause bigotry "on both sides" is wrong, rich people would use "unevolved" poor people as human tools and pets even more viciously than they already do.

Anyone who thinks this technology will be easily obtainable by the general public and not reserved for the elite is deluding themselves. Conversely, thinking such a interconnected world like he is imagining won’t have implications on personal freedom or contain prejudices against those who don’t want any augmentations is overly-optimistic.

It’s idealistic... we could fix quite a lot of this stuff now and we can’t be bothered. Human beings really seem to have a cruel streak, I don’t think humans will be able to keep pace with technology.

Feelings is what separates us from A I, that could be the unknown we are exposing ourselves to, look at all the tv programs, one of them I zombie where humans have to coexist with zombies, even though the only source of food is regular human brains brought in from abroad, zombies in the tv series not only are stronger but have the ability to heal themselves, I robot with Will smith and many others show us the evolution of the robots and their conclusion to destroy the old version of themselves in order to maintain order, just to mention a few. Robot will have the ability to learn trough error and trial.

If you believe soul exists then problem is solved. Then you can not become immortal. Uploading consciusness into database or being controlled by full fledged AI would mean the 'you' in database or in some cyborg will only show traits like you. it'll behave like you. At the end of the day you would be long gone but some creepy cyborg moving around representing you!

Modifying ourselves through technology and genetic engineering is a much better way of doing things then waiting hundreds of thousand to millions of years to “naturally” evolve.
