Wes in person is even more charismatic that in this video. His insights are sagaciously delivered through memorable, engaging stories. He demonstrates the tools he teaches, as with any great strategy instructor. Notice Wes makes the most of all of the multiple intelligences available to his audience.

The final point, about "what am I going to do with Flipgrid etc tomorrow?", is so crucial. I see it all the time; teachers who get excited about some technological tool and then try to figure out some way to shoehorn that tool into the classroom. Technology is wonderful when it helps you to solve a problem you already have in a clear and efficient way. When you try to find a place for it and there's no natural place for it to go, it can be the worst timesink imaginable.

I agree with Wes on most of his talk, except for his view that education is not broken. He's putting this idea in a talk about keeping the best of both the old and the new, and it doesn't fit with his argument. Graduates don't necessarily reflect growth and education. It's a lot more complicated than that and a big issue that needs solving.
