why cant we have a gay president? it shouldnt matter because we shouldn't choose our presidents based on sexual preference, we should choose based on competence regardless of gender. i pray we don't vote for people just because they are gay or just because they are ilocano, just because they grew up poor or any other label we may put on people, i pray we judge people as an individual and seek competence, leadership and empathy so we can have the best and brightest at the helm of the country.

interesting topic... it wasn't usual to take gays serious in political industry because they usually creative, entertaining and funny... and i think they're not a usual superior looking leader or ideal image for a president or generally in a political industry, maybe that's why we don't have a gay president... we can have a gay president if someone out there will love to serve and do what best to our country being as a president, posibleng iboto ko sya... kahit na may discrimination pa sa ganyang idea...

That "man" in the bible have cause many discriminations in terms of gender where women and gays were at disadvantaged. Unlike precolonial Philippines we only used "siya" to refer to both he and she while bathala is said to be a genderless God. Women can lead as dayang dayang or datu. Gays can also become Babaylan, Asog, Bayog or Agi which is a highly respected shamans in the barangay. While you were basing in an imported religion not really from here?
