Kranti when I'm feeling unsure uncertain and insecure about a decision then I take one step at a time. Not at first I have to go through some motivational videos or on KZbin usually lately and then audio books. I do process of elimination of what I need to do what I want to do what is the best thing for me to do what is in my best interest. Then I feel wonderful and free because I realize it only takes one step at a time to get anything done. Keep that in mind one day at a time it could be one minute at a time. And that's it. Control only what you can control.

I lived in Missouri my whole life and after teaching for a year decided to get my master's degree. I chose a college in Chicago, even though it made absolutely no sense--I had no job, no connections, no friends out there. 5 months later, I met my lifemate (I hadn't dated in 3 years). We'll be celebrating our 1 year anniversary in 2 weeks. :)

It's essential everyone has healthy high self-esteem. The society is full of negativities starting from family, school, peers, works, and communities. Ignore to live to social expectations. Life is an only once given chance to experience what life is. No need to be bound and constrained by the social expectations. Most of people die with regrets and remorse, because they haven't live their life according to their desires and potentials.

Great talk and so true. Learnt that there is a path for you - where it leads, I don't know but what I do know is when you meander off the path, life seems to throw a lot at you to get you back on it. I've learnt to take each day as it comes and listen to the quiet voice within. Now when you have people frustrated with you because you are not doing what they want you to do, I feel this tremendous calm and peace - no angst - like it is someone up above saying keep following the path - it's ok. Thank you Jo - not many people like you and not many that have found enlightenment through their spiritual self. A sort of getting to know yourself of which a lot of people haven't done because they are uncomfortable with.

Seven years ago August 2017, I was frustrated. I felt this inexplicable deep nudge that there was more. I couldn’t explain it in my head, nor could I rationalize it. But in my gut/intuition/spirit I felt there was more to life at that point. I had a six figure job and I had climbed the ladder but I felt empty inside. I also felt out of step with my purpose and who I was in the world. Intuitively I knew to go to the Source. I call that Source God. I spent 3-4 weeks everyday for hours in solitude. I determined I wasn’t leaving until I got an answer regarding my “next”. As I was doing my usual routine, in my spirit clear as day I heard one word. That was the beginning to me hearing God for myself. It was crystal clear and became even more clearer as the weeks went on. Signs and confirmations ensued for weeks after the initial word. That word led me to move away from my hometown a year later and into the career of my dreams I spent years pining after. Like Jo says…follow the nudge! It is the scariest, most exhilarating roller coaster ride you will ever take. Every day won’t be a bed of roses but overall the journey is mind blowing 🤯😎😎

Yes, do not give up!!! Never. Seek God...trust Him to lead you through the Holy Spirit that lives in your heart. That is the little voice that leads you in the right direction. God is love and wants only good things for you. Seek Him and you will find your way in this life. He gives us our “gut” instinct that she is talking about. God is not confusion and He always meets us just where we are. I am not a religious person. I just have a relationship with the Lord. Anyone can. you might want to read this Book. "The Secret" by Rhonda Bryne. When you say something like "nothing seems to be working out in my life".. you are definitely going to attract more negativity. Choose positive words and always filter ur thoughts voluntarily. Be aware of the negative thoughts.. and think of these thoughts again, only this time in an optimistic way. Thoughts manifest.. be it negative or positive. Its a dangerous thing. I suggest you to read this book. It has helped me with my life. Im taking this time to write this message because i know how u feel and what u are going through. You had typed this a year back. I hope you are happy with your life now and i hope positive things have happened in your life.

@Sushanth Bobby It doesn't matter how You call it. A God, Universe, RNG, or a choice. We have little to no influence to what happens to us in life, because most of it is written into our genes. What we CAN do is act on the things we believe to be true (act on the gut feelings), instead of spontaneous actions or habits.

I really appreciated this woman's talk. Also, and I forget the author, but the book is called, " The Gift of Fear. " The author talks about the dangers we face as listening to our instincts is not what we are doing as much as we should be. It's interesting and I think it teaches and reminds us of that inner skill we all have inside us. He points out many details we take in but discount second guessing ourselves, and how it's dangerous. However, it's not a fear inducing read either.

Wonderful talk! I just listened to it twice in a row to try to get as much out of it as possible. And for starters, think I'm finally going to join a kayaking club I've been thinking about joining for several years but haven't because money was tight or time was tight. But kayaking is something I truly enjoy - like the speaker enjoys skiing, and not just for the activity itself but also being out in nature, etc. -- and I think I'd get a lot out of being able to do it basically whenever I want. And then I will see how I can apply her message to other parts of my life. Thanks much, Jo Simpson, and hope things are still going well for you!

I find that virtually all content on topics like this tend to assume a critical item: the absence of trauma, conditioning, etc that need to be overcome before a person can have a fair chance of identifying their core values, much less "check in with them". When you have unresolved trauma, significant anxiety challenges, etc, your "core values" may be self-protection, survival, making it through the day, avoiding pain, etc. In those cases, it is incredibly difficult to tell where any "nudges" are coming from: the authentic "you" or the part of you screaming to "protect" you and potentially running contrary to your best interests. Yet all the self-help talk out there seems to either not know this or bypasses it intentionally, leaving millions saying, "Would love to do this, but I don't even know how to get from where I am to what you're talking about."

The inner voice is dead quiet. No messages from the universe, steamroller or otherwise either. Lost in the dark woods with no guidance from outside nor from inside. Hearing those semi-magical synchronicity stories is very frustrating indeed. Trying hard to be still, to listen to that intuition, that inner voice... Utter and total silence

You know these stories about people doing something or not doing something and then something better/ amazing happens, is all fun and such, but statistically that usually does not happen. These kind of stories are often just exceptions; people that are lucky. I do believe we should take control of our own lives and try things out/ dare to change, but I don't think we should have a fairy tale vision about it. That just leads to disappointment and then people get back in their old habits again, feeling defeated. Like her example with the house. The real estate person who called them to offer another house would have called anyway. Whether they told the others off or not. She is bringing this story in a way that makes it magical, while it's not.

Listen to your mind, some of these nudges are here to help, if a nudge keeps persisting it doesnt mean it was right, but there is something you need to face about yourself. Always be prepared to face your fear and communicate, and often pushing hard over your fear does yeild the best results, sometimes in short term but sometimes we must be patient. Live well everyone. One thing to remember is without confidence and courage fear will always prevail. What an inspiring message and to think that the gut is partially responsible for our actions. As the saying goes, we are our worst enemy.

that was the holy spirit and God himself, everything she was saying was lined up with himself, for God himself open doors, not her wow that's amazing for her to be listening to his spirit within I can see why she would have his favor

He's trying to show you something from all this, seek Him and you shall find ( Matthew 7:7) ....your life will never be the same

I usually don't trust my gut because I was abused and taught not to trust myself. I believe in God and the Holy Spirit does speak to his children. God bless you!
