To me, the concept of the Dutch verb 'gunnen' is also an extremely interesting angle for you to examine from a sociological standpoint, as to why Europeans consider carefully whom to give their business to, and Americans and other countries that don't have this concept in their vocabulary, don't think about this aspect of business. (Footnote: and I hesitate to point out that if you use 'gunnen' in any singular form, what word is derived in English...)
