What a brilliant woman! This talk should be making the rounds for sure. I remember reading an article that we pretty much could have avoided this last year had we listened more to what people were saying about some nasties that were found in some animals but not enough action was taken.

Thanks John! One Health is a necessary and common sense approach to zoonotic threats but we have yet to implement it in the USA.

Thank you so much! I gave this talk in 2018 and now we have COVID-19 in dogs, cats, lions, tigers, snow leopards, mink and who knows what else. Species neutral biosurveillance and a One Health approach must be implemented for the good of all!

Michael - I am sorry you think my talk was not factual. It is. Given that we now have dogs, cats, zoo animals and captive and free-ranging mink with COVID-19, the points I made about the continued lack of species neutral biosurveillance in the USA have certainly been validated.
