I've lived and worked in the poorest places in the US, East Los Angeles, New Mexico. They never went hungry, these were Hispanic communities, often multi generational households. All kids get free food at school and summer, there are food banks .Where is he talking about?

You lost me with your anthropocentric question, “Is that a choice any human should have to make?” Our ‘free choices’ were sold to the highest bidder long before you got on that stage friend. There’s no choice. We’ve been pigeonholed into a world that is slowly going to go hungry. No one will be spared, and humans are at the center of it but we’re finished just like every other animal.
